Vans and Carpet Company are collaborating on Old Skool 36+ sneakers. The announcement was made on Instagram on January 7, 2025, by Vans official account. Vans and Carpet Company collaborated in July 2024 for the launch of Skate Half Cab® and Skate Cab 4.
The Old Skool 36+ comes in a mustard colorway to bring a fresh take to the 2025 year. It also has red and black accents to combine the whole look together.
It will be launching on January 9, 2025. The shoes will be retailing for $128 and will be available on the Vans and Carpet Company websites.
Vans and Carpet Company will launch only 1977 pairs of Old Skool 36+ sneakers
The Old Skool shoe was first introduced by Vans in 1977. Both Vans and Carpet Company have decided to release only 1977 pairs of the Old Skool 36+ sneakers to honor the launch year.
The Old Skool 36+ will only be available in a mustard colorway, making the shoe unique and a limited edition.
Carpet Company also described these sneakers in a very unique way by adding,
"MUSTARDDDDDDDDDDDDD…..Old Skool Style 36+ thats all that needs to be said. and croc skin….that needs to be said too."
They further added,
"1977 PAIRS MADE…. thats the final thing I am saying."
The Carpet Company has used a fun and conversational tone to explain the details and features of the shoes while creating a sense of exclusivity.
Along with the mustard color, one side has a bold black stripe, adding a hint of color. The upper is made of croc skin to add a luxury touch.
It is paired with white shoelaces, which brings the classic old skool style back. It also has the Carpet Company's and Vans logos on the tongue with a red background to highlight it. The back of the shoes has a C-star logo in white.
The inside of the tongue has further detailing that says, "World's #1 Skateboarding Shoe." Each shoe has an individual number as well, along with the total number of pairs released.
