Everything to know about the Vacheron Constantin Historiques 222 steel watch
Designed by Jorg Hysek, the Historiques 222 was launched in 1977. Forty years later, in 2022, another variant was released in golden yellow (currently priced at $74,000!). In 2025, the luxury watch brand celebrates 270 glorious years with its blue steel Historiques 222. The watch features a blue dial, 37 mm case size, and weighs less than the golden variant. The 18k gold cross emblem sets the contrast and has a signature on the case back.
Additionally, caseback gives you a sneak peek into the internal movements and mechanisms through a sapphire crystal. The case offers a 50m of water resistance and has 40 hours of power reserve.
A few customers who purchased the watch noted the sophistication and the versatility. It stands out but isn't exactly for someone looking for a multi-functional sports watch.
Luxury watches may make rare appearances but are considered timeless accessories. Vacheron Constantin watches have gained a global reputation for outstanding performance and superior quality. Historiques 222 is a watch for those who can't resist vintage pieces and are looking to invest in one that goes a long way. The new steel variant is an ode to the original with slight changes to the materials and technology.
