The Converse Chuck 70 “Chromakopia” sneakers are the latest capsule of the brand in partnership with Tyler, The Creator, in a limited special edition to celebrate his quick NYC visit.

This is an addition to the recently launched Tyler’s Golf Le Fleur Converse capsule that dropped on September 26th via the Converse website.

The Golf Le Fleur shoes were well-received for their unique style, with designs in soft pastel shades. They flaunt the signature Terrier jumping from the heel, depicted in an oil paint format.

The latest Chuck 70 “Chromakopia” sneakers flaunt Converse's iconic black/egret colorway with the green CHROMAKOPIA lettering from the new album art on the classic silhouette.

These limited edition Chuck 70 “Chromakopia” shoes were exclusively launched on November 2nd at the flagship Converse store in SoHo, NYC, at 560 Broadway. They were reportedly priced at around $130.

Tyler, The Creator x Converse Chuck 70 “Chromakopia” sneakers: more details

The first Tyler, The Creator x Converse Chuck 70 sneakers were launched in 2017 and marked the beginning of a series of notable shoe launches that were high in demand since the very moment of their launch.

One such collection was the recent Golf Le Fleur sneakers, which sported a minimalistic design and pastel colorways, along with the signature Terrier at the heels, which sold out pretty quickly. The official Converse website introduced the golf-style shoes as:

For our latest collaboration with GOLF le FLEUR*, the brand’s mascot Darryl gets his own signature Chuck 70. The minimalist design is available in five colors from the distinctive GOLF le FLEUR* palette, each with a subtle Darryl graphic on the upper—and not so subtle bell hop graphic on the outsole. Classic. Irreverent. Elevated. Introducing the Darryl Chuck 70 from Tyler, The Creator and GOLF le FLEUR*.

The latest Chuck 70 “Chromakopia” sneakers are a special addition to the Golf Le Fleur sneakers and are meant to celebrate the artist's NYC weekend visit. They were launched in limited quantities in a flagship Converse store in the city.

Design

The Chuck 70 “Chromakopia” sneakers feature the iconic black/egret colorway with prominent laces and CHROMAKOPIA lettering in green font from the new album. The shoes make the iconic Chuck 70 a bit more polished and appealing.

The Chuck 70 “Chromakopia” sneakers are made with premium, heavier-weight canvas, for which this shoe offers sturdiness that is a step up from the standard Chucks.

It is built to last longer and handle everyday wear. The shoes feature a slightly higher rubber sidewall that adds to their retro charm and provides extra ankle support. With the iconic high-top silhouette kept intact, the sneakers complete with a traditional lace-up front that has metal eyelets and a rounded rubber toe cap.

The heel also has the retro vibe down with a black license plate logo that says “Converse All-Star Chuck Taylor,” thus staying true to the style of the 1970s.

The special CHROMAKOPIA lettering in green font on the sides of the shoes is a replica of the new album art, which makes the shoes more likable for Tyler fans.

In terms of comfort, these limited edition Chuck 70 “Chromakopia” sneakers shine with their cushioned insole, due to Converse's notable OrthoLite technology. They feature better arch support and all-around comfort compared to the earlier versions.

On the insole, they flaunt the signature “Converse All-Star” patch with a star and sleek text. The thicker rubber foxing not only boosts durability, but also gives the sneakers a vintage look and makes them comfortable.

Tyler, The Creator x Converse Chuck 70 “Chromakopia” sneakers were launched in a limited number of 300 pairs on November 2, 2024, especially for Tyler fans to celebrate his NYC weekend visit.

They were launched at the flagship Converse store in SoHo, NYC, at 560 Broadway. They were reportedly priced at around $130.
