The selection of PlayStation 5 systems and add-ons is growing. Sony has unveiled a new range of color options, this time in all-black, just a few months after the 30th Anniversary set was made available. The new PlayStation Portal has a particularly sleek appearance.
The PS Portal ($200), along with a DualSense Edge ($200), Pulse Wireless headset ($150), and Pulse earbuds ($200), are all part of the Midnight Black Collection.
The updated styles provide a stylish substitute for their current all-white counterparts, so if you haven't already, you'll be spending a lot of money only to try out the new styles.
Pre-orders for the Midnight Black collection will open on the PlayStation Direct store on January 16 at 10 a.m. local time (10 a.m. ET in the United States), with the collection launching on February 20, 2025.
On that day, several retailers will also need to liquidate their inventories. Since none of these appear to be limited edition, the Midnight Black collection ought to eventually be accessible to everyone, even if you weren't among the initial orders.
Standard DualSense and cover plates are already available in the Midnight Black collection; they cost $75 and $55, respectively.
But keep in mind that even though the PS5 thin plates are the same size, your PS5 Pro will not fit them. Those personalized color plates will be arriving later.

Whatever the fan reactions may be, one thing that can be agreed upon is that the design looks super sleek trendy, and cool.
Treat the gamer in you and get in line to buy this version of the Play Station 5, before they run out.
