Crocs keeps producing unique versions of their enduringly popular Classic Clog. The footwear company's next project is a brand-new partnership with the iconic rock group The Beatles.
The Beatles don't need an introduction in the studio, of course, but their enormous work in cinema is their most significant non-musical contribution.
The Fab Four's 1968 surrealist animated film "Yellow Submarine," which captured them at what was undoubtedly their most experimental, is the most watched and acclaimed of all.
It is frequently mentioned in the band's rare joint ventures because of its unique creative vision, and it is once again in the spotlight as the Beatles enter the Crocs universe (or vice versa).
There will soon be at least two versions of these crocs, according to recently released photos from House of Heat. Yellow Submarine, the band's tenth studio album, served as the direct inspiration for both renditions.
Release date, where to buy, price
Retailing for $80 each, the Beatles Crocs Classic Clog line will go on sale on January 28. The Crocs website is reportedly going to sell the shoes, but there are currently no confirmed retail locations.
The Beatles x Crocs Classic Clog- Crocs design
The watercraft-like design components are seen in the first pair. The second version features an upper with a multicolored pattern that resembles the album's cover.
Co-branding is imprinted on the heel strap, and both pairs include unique Jibbitz with a Yellow Submarine theme that can be fastened to the forefoot.
The Classic Clog is faithfully modeled after the submersible, complete with rear propellers, a four-headed periscope protruding at the forefoot, and each band member peering out through "windows" in the midsole. The two-pair collection appropriately begins with an adaptation of the title "Yellow Submarine."
The second version interprets the film's iconography in a more abstract approach, including a kaleidoscope rainbow palette. The sneaker doesn't include any of the film's key protagonists, Blue Meanie, or any band members.
Rather, the psychedelic visual style of Yellow Submarine is used in this Crocs Classic Clog to create a mosaic of organic pictures on both shoes.
Both colors include a variety of Jibbitz charms, as is the case with other Crocs collaborations. While the Dreadful Flying Glove, the Fab Four's on-screen persona, and an "all you need is love" charm come with their darker counterpart, these images show (naturally) a Yellow Submarine one for the all-yellow hue.
Despite the images of the clogs surfacing, release details for these Yellow Submarine-inspired The Beatles x Crocs styles have yet to be announced by any of the parties involved.
Calling to all the Beatles fans out there, and Crocs fans too! These will definitely be the best funky/comfortable duo in your footwear collection. Keep an eye on those retail websites and stores, while you wait for the best collab yet!
