The home of Nike's virtual creations, .SWOOSH, was launched in 2022 as part of the company's ongoing push into the web3. For .SWOOSH members, the Air Force 1 Low "TINAJ" (also known as "THIS IS NOT A JPEG") was released within a year.

In 2024, a different style came out, but it wasn't released. Next up for members was the AF1 Low "404 Error," and after the Air Max 1 "Low Poly" campaign spearheaded by Kai Cenat, we now have a sneak peek at another Air Force 1 Low.

Although the sneaker that we are talking about today, the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Black” hasn't yet been released by .SWOOSH, it is well on its way, and we have all the details for you right here.

.SWOOSH x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Black” sneakers design

Utilizing the notorious Triple Black AF1 color scheme.Unlike the classic GR AF1's harsh black appearance, .SWOOSH pre-dirties the shoe by giving the top a somewhat worn black finish. Each panel of the upper, including the mudguard, toebox, midfoot, collar, Swoosh, eye stays, and heel, is covered in premium tumbled leather.

The web3 program's emblem on the insole, a branded plastic lace dubrae, and personalized "Swoosh Air" writing on the heel are how .SWOOSH is identified.

The tongue tag, which sits above the black leather tongue, is given a leather finish with the Swoosh logo debossed in the middle, enhancing the sneaker's high-end vibe.

In keeping with the Dirty Triple Black name practice, a plastic toothbrush with the words "You missed a spot" written on it but without any real bristles is attached to the lace set. The blacked-out rubber outsole and midsole complete the look.

Release date, where to buy, and price

Although it's unclear exactly how that will happen, the .SWOOSH x Nike Air Force 1 Low Dirty Triple Black is scheduled for sale in the spring of 2025.

Expect something similar to the NFT-linked releases, pre-orders, and special drops that have accompanied previous.SWOOSH releases for this AF1. The set price is $130.

The sneaker history

Sneakerheads throughout the world have a particular place in their hearts for Air Force 1 sneakers, also referred to as Forces, AF1s, Uptowns, Flaves, and Harlems. Since their 1982 introduction, Nike Air Force 1s have become more than just shoes—they have become a cultural icon.

The game was permanently altered by these iconic sneakers, which brought Nike's revolutionary Air technology to the basketball shoe industry. Nike created a multipurpose masterpiece with its classic AF1 silhouette that effortlessly combines fashion and usefulness, making it an essential item for sneakerheads and streetwear fans.

Originally intended as an ankle-strapped high top modeled after a hiking boot, the Air Force 1 Low's release caused the shoe's popularity to soar, garnering a devoted following in big cities, including New York, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C.

Baltimore sneaker stores were the driving force behind the shoe's resurgence, even though it was set to be retired in 1984 due to the emergence of innovative Nike models.

These merchants established sneaker culture by working with Nike on exclusive models through the "Color of the Month" club, highlighting the importance of those who curate and sell Air Force 1s alongside their manufacturers and consumers. The Nike Air Force 1 has a lasting impact on contemporary sneaker culture and has evolved via innovation, community, and style.
