We live in a world of unique food combinations, which has been proved by different fast-food chains with items such as KFC's Mashed Potato Meatballs, Sonic’s Grilled Chicken Wrap Deep Fried Burritos, Domino’s Pizza Dough Soft Pretzels, and much more.
After Taco Bell introduced nuggets for their customers to go with their tacos, Burger King has decided to do something similar. The burger chain has shocked its fans by reintroducing Crispy Tacos on its menu.
These tacos, last seen on their menu in 2019, are available in select stores nationwide. These tacos feature seasoned beef, melted American cheese, crisp lettuce, and zesty taco sauce combined in a crunchy tortilla wrap.
But, there has been a mixed reaction from the fans. Some are excited about the news, but others think it was an unnecessary addition to Burger King’s menu.
How fans reacted to the news?
Food vlogger @Markie_devo shared the news of the re-launch of Crispy Tacos by Burger King on Instagram.
“Taco Bell has nuggets, Burger King has tacos, what’s next?..McD’s selling sushi!” The caption read. It further informed that “Burger King previously sold tacos at some locations years ago, now they’re back at select locations.”
Fans were quick to react to his post as they jumped to the comments section to share their views.
Some were glad the tacos were back on the Burger King’s menu. They opined that the Burger King tacos were better than they have at Jack In The Box.
“Dude, I'm in the select few who actually enjoyed these! I think that they were much better than Jack In The Box tacos!” a fan wrote.
“I actually dug these a lot, a great option,” another user wrote.
“They’ve had this on their menu forever (LA) I like them better than Jack’s.” One added.
“These were so good. It seemed like they weren't gonna bring them back,” one person said.
“Im Glad they bringing them back. I actually liked them!” someone else commented.
One follower requested Burger King to stick to making burgers. They suggested doing a taco-inspired burger.
A few others slammed the fast food chain and demanded to bring back Whopperito to their menu.
“These were nasty last time. Why try it again?” one user questioned in the comments section.
“I tried them once 20 years ago and they were awful. Never again. They were a knock off of Jack in the Box tacos but were much worse,” another user said.
“We didnt ask for that. But bring back the whopperito though,” said one user.
“Even the picture doesn’t look good somehow it’s going to still be 10x worse in person lol,” one user added.
“Literally your caption is the first thought that came into my mind when I saw this. what is happening in the fast food world?!!” one user said.
Burger King’s re-launch of Crispy Tacos reflects a broad trend followed by various fast-food restaurants these days, which is the re-introduction of nostalgic items on their menu list.
