Size? exclusive Adidas Shanghai “City Series” sneakers: First look, design speculations, and everything we know so far

Size? is marking its 25th anniversary with an exclusive drop with Adidas Originals. The UK-based streetwear and sneaker retailer is expected to launch the Adidas Shanghai 'City Series' sneakers on February 1. The duo had previously released the Shanghai 'City Series' in a deep navy blue palette to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

The limited-edition Size? X Adidas Shanghai “City Series” sneakers are making a comeback in bright purple and orange hues. Although the brands haven't revealed the pricing, there are only 2,025 pairs for purchase. According to Size?, the bid for the colorway is opening on February 1, 2025.

First look at Size? X Adidas Shanghai “City Series” sneakers

Since 2010, Size? has collaborated with Adidas Originals to pay tribute to major cities, including Shanghai with the 'City Series' collection. After celebrating its 20th anniversary with the Shanghai deep navy blue palette, the sneaker is being re-released in 2025 in a different palette.

The sneaker's 'Purple Burst' upper appears to be a tribute to the bright Shanghai aesthetics. Adidas Originals' three stripes are featured in bright orange on the side. Branding elements, including the 1/2025 on the spine add hints of gold and contrast to the sneaker. An all-black sole unit forms the base for the sneaker.

Additionally, each pair will come with two laces. Size? further describes the details of the sneaker and notes,

"Leather lining and a special anniversary footbed add an elevated feel to the low-profile shoe, and underfoot, a rubber sole unit anchors the design."

Size? dropped a trailer of the Shanghai 'Anniversary City Series' and noted that they have shared a "longstanding special relationship." The caption further reads that they have created "sought-after exclusives" that fuse.

"heritage, creativity, and individuality rooted within both sides of the partnership for a new generation of fans."

Customers can purchase the new sneaker through an online draw on Size? that begins on February 1, 2025.
