Seiko x Shohei Ohtani releases Limited Edition Prospex Watches in LA Dodger colors

Seiko is launching two limited-edition Prospex watches with Shohei Ohtani. The Japanese wristwatch giant will release the collection on February 7, 2025. The watches feature the blue, red, and white color scheme of the LA Dodgers.

This marks the second time the luxury watch brand has collaborated with Japanese Baseball Player Shohei Ohtani. In 2023, the brand launched 1700 pieces of Shohei Ohtani Prospex Diver SBDC191. A second-time collaboration with Shohei Ohtani celebrates his unwavering spirit and victory.

Seiko x Shohei Ohtani watches set to launch in February

Seiko x Shohei Ohtani will be launched on Friday, February 7, 2025. According to the luxury brand, the watches are an ode to Shohei Ohtani's unwavering dedication to the sport and victories. A press release by the brand reads,

"This limited edition model represents Ohtani's indomitable spirit as he strives for victory while accumulating unprecedented and astonishing achievements, with a bold black case and bracelet."

The limited-edition watches feature a bold black bracelet and case. The watches are inspired by the Mechanical Divers 1968 Heritage Design. They feature a blue ceramic bezel, Shohei Ohtani's uniform number 17 on the crown, and his signature on the clasp.

The first model SBEJ03 has a black dial and the SBEJ03 model has a white one. While the former will be limited to 1700 pieces, the latter is online exclusive and limited to 500. Both watches retail for 330,000 Japanese Yen and are encased in a special box with Ohtani's autograph.

The luxury brand has opened member-exclusive reservations for the watch. The preorder period for online store members has begun and will run through January 7, 2025. Other general reservations can be made between January 15th to February 6th. Customers can check their membership details and reserve the watch before the official launch.

The exclusive collection is a delight for watch and baseball enthusiasts. Shohei Ohtani signed with the LA Dodgers in December last year. Since then, he has proved his prowess and become one of the most promising baseball players. Due to the limited availability, the luxury watches will likely get sold out.
