The creation of the Puma x AC Milan 125th anniversary kit began a year ago in December. The 'Design our Jersey, Design our Legacy' campaign was started so fans could choose the design choices they prefer. They did this by choosing some key moments that would mirror the legacy of AC Milan.
Some of the items in the Puma x AC Milan Anniversary Capsule include an authentic player jersey, a goalkeeper jersey, a retro football, and a limited-edition retro style jersey.
Some of the key designs of the jerseys that were chosen by the fans include the iconic broad stripe design that was in use in AC Milan jerseys in the 1950s. These stripes were often associated with the club's international victories.
Another design chosen by the fans is the badge on the kit that is dedicated to the very first emblem, going back to 1899 when Herbert Kiplin founded the Milan Football & Cricket Club.
The third and last design that was voted on by the fans included the Diavoletto (Little Devil) emblem that is printed inside the jersey with the word '125 Milan' as a symbol of the 125th anniversary.
Another idea that was generated by fans is the printing of a distinct detail on the numbers on the back of the jersey.
The authentic player jersey is made using 100% recycled materials and the PUMA dryCELL technology that will keep the players dry and comfortable while performing at their peak. The limited-edition retro style jersey is made using premium cotton.
To commemorate the club's founding year, 1899, exactly 1,899 units of the anniversary kit will be produced. Each of these will come in exclusive packaging and a unique serial number making it a true collector's dream.

Additionally, the jerseys are sponsored by Emirates and MSC, Banco BPM, and TIM. They will be officially worn on-site by the men's team on December 15, 2024, during their match against Genoa at San Siro. The women's team will debut their jerseys during the derby on December 8, which will take place at the PUMA House of Clubs.
