PUMA is all set to release its Mostro “Ecstasy” pack on November 23, 2024. The sneakers in this upcoming collection feature two different colorways, Electric Lime and Lavender.
The price is expected to be set around USD 130. Once released, the shoes will be available via PUMA and other selected retailers.
The PUMA Mostro silhouette is a loved sneaker line of the brand. The brand released its Mostro 3.D sneakers on November 7 in collaboration with hip-hop icon Travis Scott.
Rihanna was also seen sporting a pink colorway of Mostro Ecstasy earlier this year. Now, the footwear company is all set to release two variations of this line in Mostro “Ecstasy” colorway.
Delving into PUMA Mostro “Ecstasy”
The Mostro was first introduced in 1999 and garnered attention from fans as one of the brand's experimental designs. It was named after the Italian word for monster.
The Mostro line drew inspiration from the sprinting spikes of the 1960s and the surfing shoes of the 1980s, as the official press release says. Now, PUMA is all dolled up with this latest “Ecstasy” of the line.
Below is what PUMA had to mention about the sneaker line:
"Introduced 25 years ago in 1999, the Mostro’s name is an Italian word meaning monster, which evokes the shoe’s experimental design that is inspired by the sprinting spikes of the '60s and the chilled-out surfing shoes of the '80s. A sneaker that fuses the past and present, the low-profile silhouette is defined by its signature spiked sole and utilitarian strap closure."
The Mostro “Ecstasy” pack sports the sneaker in two colorways: Lavender, and Electric Lime. Below is what the brand had to say about the two upcoming sneakers:
"Illuminated in two striking candy-hued colorways, the Mostro is depicted in tonal colorways of “Electric Lime” and “Lavender.” The statement color schemes accentuate the Mostro’s bold design, highlighting the silhouette’s textures and details like its studded outsole and mesh upper."
The upper of the sneakers is crafted from a mesh material. The lavender colorway features a relatively soft and subtle color palette, which is a contrast to its counterpart.
The counterpart sports an "Electric Lime" colorway. As can be derived from the officially released pictures, this colorway features shades of neon green. A strap closure replaces laces in both pairs.
The outsole of the PUMA Mostro “Ecstasy” pack is spiked and features a geometrical pattern. The official press release regarding the launch of these sneakers mentioned:
"A trailblazer in 1999, and a work of art today, the Mostro bridges the gap between sports and style, and now it is back. The accompanying campaign completes a three-part Marsielles-based series honoring the unique Mostro, depicting the silhouette next to some of the French port city’s most recognizable vistas."
