Below is what the game's official website had to mention about this:

"We're proud to announce the Path of Exile 2 Early Access Supporter Packs! These packs provide you with access to the early access release as well as many exclusive microtransactions and even physical goods. You can upgrade from a cheaper pack to a more expensive one later. These packs will be available throughout Early access."

Path of Exile 2 Early Access Explored

Path of Exile was launched in 2013 as a free-to-play ARPG. It gained a dedicated fan base for its hardcore gameplay and almost unlimited customization. Grinding Gear Games is the studio, that developed the title.

The original Path of Exile offered an experience in Wraeclast, a virtual world steeped in chaos and corruption. The sequel expands upon Wraeclast and comes with a new campaign set 20 years after the first game.

Below is how the studio is drawing the prelude of PoE 2:

"For 20 years Wraeclast has been free from any sources of Corruption, but the Count of Ogham, tempted by promises of power, intends to harness it once more."

It continues:

"The dead are rising, monsters are mutating, and madness is spreading from this new Seed of Corruption. On the way you'll face fearsome monsters, meet strange characters, forge unlikely bonds, and uncover lost civilisations."

The Early Access version of Path of Exile 2 requires purchasing a supporter pack, which is now available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Players can preload the game to their consoles.

This limited access period allows players to experience the game’s new features and provide feedback directly to developers before the full release, which will be free to play just like the prequel.

Choose Your Class Wisely!

Path of Exile 2 features six different classes, which are listed below:

  • Monk: A melee-focused character with high-damage attacks but limited defenses.
  • Sorceress: A spellcaster with highly effective spells. It is balanced with defensive mana-based options.
  • Warrior: Comes with good strength and durable armor. This class is ideal for players who prefer close combat, and heavy weaponry.
  • Ranger: An archer with powerful ranged attacks.
  • Mercenary: A crossbow expert with impactful attacks and strategic mobility.
  • Witch: A dark magic wielder who calls minions and casts spells to distract enemies.

Each class can further customize its abilities through Ascendancies.

The Early Access campaign spans Acts 1 to 3. It features the Cruel Difficulty mode, where players can replay the whole campaign with tougher enemies and better rewards.

Below is how the three different acts are described on the official website:

Act One: Corruption and disease fester in every shadowed corner of the primordial forests of Ogham. The worn gravestones of Ezomyte and Eternal alike mark centuries of bloodshed, a bitterness that has arisen once more due to the return of evil.
Act Two: Once a lush and verdant land, the Vastiri is now better known for its crimson sands, blackened wastelands, and harsh saltflats. In search of trade and oases, nomadic caravans cross the harsh dunes, shaded only by the vast ruins of their glorious past.
Act Three: The jungles of the inner continent hide the decaying ziggurats of the ancient Vaal, once the pinnacle of civilisation on Wraeclast. Now, nothing remains but weathered stone, overgrown temples, and remnants of the Cataclysm that ended this once great people.
