Nike perpetuates Kobe Bryant's legacy through exclusive sneaker launches, maintaining his significant impact. During the Holiday season of 2024, the company has beefed up its collection with the Nike x Kobe Air Force 1 Low "Black" colorway.

The Nike x Kobe Air Force 1 shoes are influenced by a series of player exclusives from the early 2000s. This black colorway is also dubbed the “Away” version. These pairs are presented in Los Angeles Lakers-themed designs. This entirely new black-based pair showcases a black leather top. The black base of the shoe is adorned with engraved Kobe sheath emblems distributed across the upper.

The Lakers' yellow accents appear on the side Swoosh, heel section, and tongue label, while purple hues outline the Swoosh and constitute the Nike Air writing on the tongue flap.

The inner lining of the pairs is done with yellow and black. This dual-tone is further detailed with purple tags featuring the number of each pair among the total of 8000 units. These numbered tags also boast “MAMBA FOREVER,” which is another homage to Kobe Bryant.

Finishing off these shoes is a black rubber midsole with yellow Air lettering highlighted along it. Lastly, these bold black midsoles are complimented with contrasting yellow outer sole units.

In related news, the Swoosh label also presented a white version of Nike x Kobe Air Force 1 shoes, titled “Home.” These pairs are slightly different from their black counterparts. The white variation isn’t debossed with Kobe's signature logos all over. These pairs feature smooth leather with similar Kobe detailings as seen in the previous shoe design.
