The NBA All-Star Weekend is a cultural event that brings the global sports, fashion, and entertainment industry together. Every year, sneaker brands roll out their biggest releases and star-studded events. In 2025, Nike, Jordan Brand, and Converse are officially set to participate in the All-Star Week in San Francisco’s Bay Area from February 13 to 16, 2025.
With limited-edition sneaker drops and a celebration of basketball culture, Nike Inc. is set to make this year’s All-Star Weekend one to remember, the brand claims. The global footwear brand announced its plans for 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend in an official press release, stating
"NIKE, Inc. is dominating NBA All-Star Weekend, displaying its dedication to the game with exclusive exhibitions, events and product drops across its industry-defining portfolio of Nike, Jordan Brand and Converse. Nike’s Future Game will feature a competitive showcase for future basketball stars, appearances from All-Star Nike athletes and exclusive product debuts."
Nike’s Plans for the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend
For this year’s All-Star Weekend, the brand will hold a “Future Game” experience. It will be held at the Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts in Oakland. It is designed to spotlight rising stars and the next generation of basketball talent.
Nike will bring in past and present NBA stars, and young hoopers, including Nike NIL athlete AJ Dybantsa, who will play for Utah Prep against Dynamic Prep on February 14, 2025. The event will also include exclusive sneaker customization stations featuring designs by local artists.
The highlight of Future Game is the debut of Nike’s Black Label Collection, an all-black sneaker lineup representing Nike’s top athletes, including LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Ja Morant, Devin Booker, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Victor Wembanyama, and Sabrina Ionescu. The production numbers of each model match the birth year of the respective athlete.
Additionally, Nike will roll out revamped classics, such as the Nike Zoom KD 4, which pays tribute to Kevin Durant’s mother, Wanda, and his early career, and the Galaxy Foamposite One.
Nike’s Future Game experience will be open to the public starting February 13, 2025, at Nike San Francisco (278 Post St.) and Foot Locker’s NBA All-Star experience (150 Powell St.).
Here is what Nike states,
"The three-day immersive event opens to the public February 13 at the Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts in Oakland and will feature competitive showcases for future stars, including Nike NIL athlete AJ Dybantsa, who will take the floor with Utah Prep against Dynamic Prep on February 14 at 8:30 p.m. PST."
Jordan Brand
For sneakerheads, Jordan Brand’s lineup of releases during the NBA All-Star Weekend is believed to be a major draw. The Air Jordan 1 ‘85 ‘Bred’ and the Air Jordan 5 Reimagined lead the retro sneaker drops, while exclusive women's sneakers like the Air Jordan 1 Brooklyn Boot will also be available.
If you are in the Bay Area, you can check out Jordan Brand events at:
- Shoe Palace (Union Square, San Francisco) – February 14 to 16, 2025
- Shoe Palace (Telegraph Avenue, Oakland) – February 11 to 17, 2025
Converse
Shedding some light on Coverse's plans for the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend, Nike mentioned in the press release,
"Converse will round out NIKE, Inc.’s All-Star Weekend presence by blending its distinct legacies in basketball and skateboarding to deliver programming that celebrates both pastimes’ intersections with style, art and culture, leaving a mark on the Bay Area that extends far beyond the final buzzer on February 16."
Some of the sneakers that are expected to drop during the NBA All-Star Weekend this year include:
- Nike Black Label Collection
- Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy”
- Nike Zoom KD 4 Tribute Colorways
- Air Jordan 1 ‘85 “Bred”
- Jordan Brand Women’s Brooklyn Boot
- Air Force 1 and Dunk Low Retro Pack
However, some might argue that the hype around the footwear brands' All-Star events can overshadow the actual game.
