The Nike Shox R4 in a"White/ Phantom" palette is potentially released in Spring 2025. Debuted in 2000, the sneaker was the first model to feature Shox technology, designed to absorb shock and return energy to your footbed. The Nike Shox R4 “White/Phantom” sneakers are expected to feature white, cream, and red columns.
The sneaker will join the league of other Shox R4 sneakers released in women's sizing. Nike has yet to make official announcements about the design and release. Customers can purchase the sneakers at $150 on Nike.com and other official retailers.
Everything we know so far about the Nike Shox R4 “White/Phantom” sneakers
The Nike Shox R4 in White/ Phantom is potentially joining the Spring lineup in women's sizing, per Sneaker Bar Detroit. The Shox R4 “White/Phantom” sneaker shares similarities with the White/Silver colorway. The metallic silver overlay is replaced by a cream or sail color tone. Additionally, the columns add a pop of color in Crimson red. Nike describes the Shox technology in the sneakers,
"4 compressive columns lift the heel, while offering both a stable structure and bona-fide bounce."
The toe box has a perforated material which increases breathability. The swoosh is outlined in black. It adds a contrast with the white overlay and appears to be inspired by Y2K aesthetics.
Review of the Nike Shox R4 (Women)
Customers have previously reviewed other colorways of Nike Shox R4 on Nike.com. Some noted that the sneaker can run a size smaller and that it can be narrow near the toebox. Some appreciated the structure but others wrote that it may not be ideal for those with wide feet. One customer wrote,
"I unfortunately didn’t love the feel. It was too tight over my footbed and the sides dug into my ankles a little bit. Walking also felt a bit clunky at first, but I am just used to wearing different shoes! I also have a wide footbed and that could be part of it."
While official announcements about the release are yet to be made, customers can expect the new colorway in Spring Lineup. Nike is bringing back retro designs, including Y2K aesthetics featured in the Shox R4. The sneaker's structure is built to absorb shock and reduce the overall weight.
