Nike Skateboarding will be releasing the "BHM" Nike SB Dunk Low in 2025 in honor of Black History Month, celebrated from February 1 to March 1 every year. The vivid green color of the shoes' covering was inspired by African tourmaline jewels.

The pair will also be a limited edition because they are classified as Quickstrikes.

There are rumors that this pair is named after the fabled dragon from the Dragon Ball manga, "Shenron." However, according to reports, an SB Dunk Low for Black History Month will be available in spring 2025.

Furthermore, this SB Dunk Low is a wonderful fit for the color scheme associated with the BHM (Tourmaline/Baroque Brown-Monarch).

Nike SB has previously launched "BHM" SB Dunk Lows. The series will reappear ten years after the brand's last recent pair was released in 2015.

Release date, where to buy, price

In February 2025, a few skate shops and Nike.com will allegedly carry the Nike SB Dunk Low "Black History Month." The retail price is $135. Additionally, the pair will be slightly limited because it is designated as a QS (Quickstrike).

Sneaker design

The color palette of this Nike SB Dunk Low includes Tourmaline, Baroque Brown, and Monarch. In homage to African jewels, the suede upper is highlighted in green. Additionally, the lateral side of the pair has distinctive motifs.

Furthermore, the ankle is adorned with Baroque Brown, while the collar, liner, and tongues are outlined in yellow. Nike cursive is used to cover the heel, outline the overlays, and outline the Swooshes in Monarch (Orange).

A star on the tongue, a red rubber outsole, and green on the midsole are further features of the sneaker.

About BHM

Known as African-American History Month in the United States, Black History Month is a commemorative month that is honored every year. It started as a week-long observance to honor significant figures and occasions in the African diaspora's history, but since 1970, it has expanded to a month-long celebration.

In the United States and Canada, where governments have officially recognized it, it is celebrated in February. More recently, it has also been commemorated in Ireland and the United Kingdom in October.

Since 2005, Nike has used the global language of sneakers to highlight the achievements and legacy of African Americans every February.

What started as a straightforward honorary pair of Air Force 1s with red accents from the Pan-African flag has since grown into a vast collection of releases and financial commitments supporting the principles of inclusion, diversity, and equality in and outside of sports.

Black people and culture have influenced and informed society in a multitude of ways, from social media to sports and all in between.
