It should be no surprise that the Air Jordan 11 "Concord," one of the most iconic Air Jordan sneakers ever, has impacted numerous other models in the past, including the Air Jordan 5 and the Two Trey.
There have been a few of those where the Air Jordan 1 has adopted the renowned design, but none have been as literal as this 2023 Air Jordan 1 Low "Concord."
And to much of everyone's delight, Nike has decided to re-release this beloved sneaker.
Where to buy, price, and sizes available
The sneaker is available to buy online and in-store options at Nike and other footwear retailers. It's available in sizes for children from ages three through seven and is available for the retail price of $110.
Sneaker design
With the exception of a mesh upper, the pair's color blocking and material resemble the original Tinker design. As expected, a white midsole has an icy-blue outsole beneath it, and the graphic insole is a clear reference to the shoe.
The Air Jordan 1 Low SE comes in a sleek black-and-white hue. The upper is made of slick patent leather and white leather. Thus, it's clear that the iconic Air Jordan 11 and its patent leather accents served as inspiration for this pair.
Referencing the same type of font and language on the tongue of the AJ 11, the custom-printed insoles include "Jumpman Jordan" across each one, further tying in with the motif.
The print is also in concord purple to finish it off. A crisp white midsole resting on a full icy blue transparent outsole completes the look. Unquestionably among the cleanest AJ 1 Lows ever made.
Sneaker story
The Concord 11s are unquestionably one of the best sneakers ever made, according to the Jordan archives. The first basketball shoe to use patent leather was the Tinker Hatfield design, which made its debut during the 1995 playoffs.
Many different shoes have been influenced by this iconic style over the years, even after decades have passed. The Air Jordan 1 Low SE Concord is making its debut in further remembrance of the Concord 11s.
Jordan Brand wins again with these new Lows, which are inspired by the iconic basketball design. The Air Jordan 1 Low SE Concord's patent leather appearance and translucent icy blue outsole are a fitting nod to the Concord 11.
In 1985, the Air Jordan 1 Low made its debut. White/Metallic Blue and White/Natural Gray are the two original hues that were offered. The upper of the 1 Low was made of a combination of synthetic and leather materials.
The 1 has the advantage of being easier to wear than the High. Compared to the High, it is a more comfortable shoe for daily wear. It is currently among the best casual sneakers available. There is a wide range of color schemes that are often released.
