Nike is set to launch the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro The Wizard of Oz sneakers. The brand has continued to launch multiple sneakers this season, including the Nike AirMax 1000, Vomero 18, and more.
For the winter and holiday season, Nike is bringing out the ever-famous 'The Wizard of Oz' theme for the new drop. It has a bold multicolor design inspired by the American musical fantasy film.
The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro 'The Wizard of Oz' is scheduled to be launched via Nike's official e-commerce site and other selected retailers. Starting December 23, 2024, the sneakers will retail for $135.
The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro 'The Wizard of Oz' sneakers is releasing in family sizes
The Nike 'The Wizard of Oz' sneakers have abstract graphics and rich red accents. This shows the iconic theme and colors of the story, particularly Dorothy's ruby slippers. The shoes will also come in family sizes, including sneakers for little kids and toddlers which will retail for $90 and $75 respectively.
Nike also gave a brief explanation behind the design of the newly inspired 'The Wizard of Oz' sneakers by adding:
"In 1939, a Technicolor tale of a whirling tornado and a ragtag crew’s adventure in the Land of Oz captured the imagination of the world. The Wizard of Oz remains one of the most celebrated musical fantasies in film history. To commemorate a cinematic milestone, Nike SB focuses its lens on the film’s iconic poppy field scene." - Nike
These sneakers have a colorful design with flowers printed using a special technique. They have shiny satin finishes and a leather swoosh. The soles are bright red, just like Dorothy’s ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz. Inside, there are two removable insoles, each designed to match the smokey effect and poppy flower theme of the movie.
The shoes have "Wizard of Oz" written on the tongue, showing a special connection to the movie. On the back of the shoes, the words "No Place Like Home" are written across the heels, reminding everyone of Dorothy's famous line and her journey in the story with the Nike logo added to the back.

Other upcoming Nike launches include Nike SB Dunk Low Pro x Nicole Hause in the university blue and white colorway. It retails for $125 and will be released on December 17 on the Nike website.
Another exciting upcoming sneaker from Nike is their Air Jordan 12 x SoleFly in a baroque brown color. It is scheduled to be released on December 13 and retails for $225.
