The Nike LeBron 22 "Blacklight" sneakers would make a great early Christmas present. With the release date set for 6 December 2024, the "Blacklight" sneakers will be ready to make their way to you before the year ends. King James gave a sneak peek of his latest signature sneakers by wearing them to the Lakers' preseason warm-ups, and the internet cannot stop talking about them.

The Nike LeBron 22 "Blacklight" is size-inclusive and will retail at $180 USD for men's sizing. For grade school or kid's sizing, there is a $40 price drop and will be sold at $140 USD. The "Blacklights" will be available for purchase on the Nike SNKRS website and a few select retailers.

Whether you are a LeBron fan or not, these Lakers-coded kicks will be one of the most anticipated drops this December 2024.

Nike LeBron 22 "Blacklight": dark and opulent

The Nike LeBron 22 "Blacklight" was first revealed to the public by LeBron James himself during a preseason warm-up session. The colorway of the "Blacklight" is reportedly a combination of Black/Laser Fuchsia/Dark Grey/Field Purple/Guava Ice, a close resemblance to the color scheme of the Lakers' "Hollywood Nights" uniform.

The upper of the Nike LeBron 22 "Blacklight" has an almost suede look to it, crafted from black nubuck, a leather material, giving the shoes a premium look. The field purple laces, hooped through metallic eyelets, are a stark contrast to the dark silhouette of the sneakers. Adding to this pop of color is the Laser Fuchsia accent that overlines the swoosh of the grey-textured midsole.

The LA Lakers' color scheme would be incomplete without a touch of gold. In addition to the purple jewel on the tongue, the golden mini swoosh on the midsole completes the look. Since these are LeBron's signature sneakers, you can find the words "AKRON, OH" and the year "ESTD. 1984" on the toe of the soles.

The technology behind the LeBron 22 "Blacklight" is one of the latest in the market. The dual-toned midsole sits atop a Zoom Turbo unit that allows maximum agility. The shoes are lined with the CushIon 2.0, which gives the wearer optimum comfort.

New NBA season, new shoes, new records

The name of LeBron's latest signature sneakers, the Nike LeBron 22 "Blacklight," may also be a nod to the number of seasons he has played in his professional lifetime. Along with Vince Carter, LeBron James holds the record for most seasons (22) played in the NBA.

In the upcoming season, LeBron James will be playing alongside his son, Bronny James. Another NBA record, making LeBron and his son the first active father-son duo.

History is in the making where LeBron and Bronny are redefining what it means to leave a legacy.

The last month of 2024 starts off with a bang for all sneakerheads and LeBron fans. You do not want to miss the release of the Nike LeBron 22 "Blacklight." At $180 USD and $140 USD for men's sizing and kid's sizing, respectively. Check out the Nike SNKRS website and select retailers to purchase.
