Nike's latest hue, "Dunks Not Dead," makes a bold statement. Beaverton is sustaining the line despite a decline in the gray market pricing and general product heat.

Like every year since 2020, 2025 will bring a plethora of new hues to Peter Moore's design, giving customers an abundance of options when they think about adding another pair to their collection.

The Dunk Low "Desert Khaki" is the most recent addition to that crowded field.

Release date, where to buy, and price

In spring 2025, the Nike Dunk Low "Desert Khaki" should be available.

They will be offered on Nike.com, online, and at a few Nike Sportswear shops. A selling price of $130 is anticipated.

A splash of "medium Ash" is applied to the tongue and swooshes the shoe after a base of white and the previously described "Desert Khaki" in the vein of "Be True To Your School."

This all-neutral event revolves around the Dunk's selling point: a shoe that fits practically any size or occasion.

About Nike Dunks

The SB Dunk and Nike Dunk are notable examples of storytelling through design. The color schemes and materials selected by Nike's design team and collaborators often reflect connections to fashion, sport, culture, or personal influences.

The Dunk also highlights the impact of collaborations between larger corporate brands and smaller collectives or individuals with ties to subcultures.

The Nike Dunk is considered a collectible model because of its design, color scheme, and adaptability in terms of shape and style.

The Dunk, a basketball sneaker that became a skateboarding mainstay, has had a full-force comeback in 2020 and 2021, outliving its initial use as a collegiate hoop sneaker.

The Dunk has been endorsed and loved by several subcultures across the globe.

However, the history of this sneaker is not sequential; rather, it is divided into several smaller tales. Because of this, its story is quite rich.

Made from four previous Nike models—the Air Force 1, the Terminator, the Air Jordan 1, and the Legend—the Nike Dunk High was introduced in August 1985 as a high-top basketball sneaker.

The Dunk's entire design was influenced by the AF-1. The Legend helped make the molds for the Dunk, the upper combined elements of the AJ-1 and the Terminator, and the outsole borrowed the AF-1's grip.

Over time, the Dunk has become one of Nike's most recognizable silhouettes. Its evolution reflects its deep connection to these communities, along with its history of celebrity endorsements.

Today, the Dunk remains a widely seen and culturally significant design in the world of footwear.
