Nike is making headlines in the sneaker world yet again with their reported launches. The brand is rumored to launch the Nike Air 180 "Doernbecher" sneakers soon. Nike and OSHU Doernbecher Children's Hospital have been collaborating since 2004. The collaboration allows patients to create their own sneakers, which are then sold for auction. The collaboration has raised $40 million as of October 2024.

Nike Air 180 is designed by Ja’Kai, who loves playing football, soccer, and basketball. Ja’Kai also has a TikTok account where he uploads videos with his mother about his ongoing type 1 diabetes treatment.

The Nike Air 180 is the creation of the nine-year-old and shows his energy and positivity through its bold design. The sneaker's release window is expected to be around the end of January. Nike is yet to confirm the official release date.

Nike Air 180 details and designs show Ja'Kai's cheerful personality

The Nike Air 180 has a neon green, aqua blue, royal blue, and black colorway. The blue-to-green gradient colors are combined with reflective lightning bolts in white color.

The tongue of the shoes says T1D (Type 1 Diabetes), and the back says his name and '30' in white. The Nike logo is added on the sides in a sky-blue bubble pattern. The back of the heels has 180 engraved, representing the Nike Air 180 sneakers. The outsole of the shoes has a neon color that glows in the dark. It also comes with a hangtag that resembles a soccer crest.

Nike is yet to reveal the final date of the Nike Air 180. The release window is set to be around the end of January. Once released, it will be available on the Nike website and in stores for the expected price of $150.
