Will UPS deliver on New Year's Day 2025? Everything we know so far

While it is advisable to schedule deliveries before or after the period between 30th December and 2nd January, sometimes some urgent deliveries need to be scheduled at the last minute. It is important to note the functional hours of services like UPS during New Year's Day.

UPS is not operational on New Year's Day

Unfortunately, according to the official website, UPS does not operate on New Year's Day (1st January), as it is a federal and state holiday. Although New Year's Eve is not an official federal holiday, UPS is not fully operational that day, with its functional hours varying from location to location.

Therefore, people are advised to check with their local UPS offices to know the official operational timings for the postal services near them.

UPS is closed on New Year’s (Jan 1), Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan 20), Independence Day (July 4), Thanksgiving (Nov 27), and Christmas Day (Dec 25). UPS Express Critical® service is still available.
