Trader Joe’s provides last-minute party essentials during New Year’s celebrations. For those looking to score spices, seasoning blends, and gourmet foods, the issue of Trader Joe’s opening hours for the festive season becomes essential.
The sad news is that the retail company will not be open on New Year’s Day 2025. The retail chain was open on New Year’s Eve although most stores closed by 5 pm because of the New Year's Eve celebrations. It made this announcement on Instagram on December 31, 2024, with the caption:
“FRIENDLY REMINDER: all Trader Joe’s stores will be open until 5 pm on Tuesday, December 31st and closed on Wednesday, January 1st. Stop by to stock up for 2025!”
Trader Joe’s is opening a dozen new locations in 2025
The grocery store chain will resume back for the year on January 2, 2025, with new locations in the works for customers. The company revealed plans for expansion on January 1, 2024, with the caption:
“As we look forward to 2025, we see dozens of Trader Joe’s stores opening in neighborhoods around the country, and more Crew Members working together to provide customers with the best products, best values, and best experience they’ll find in any grocery store anywhere.”
Trader Joe's, on their website, stated that 12 planned locations would be opening in 2025. These locations are set to launch across seven states and Washington DC.
Reports state that more locations would be added to the list as the year progresses. The website lists some of the locations opening in 2025 as follows:
