Ice cream franchise Van Leeuwen has an early Valentine’s Day 2025 gift for everyone. It has launched five new ice flavors inspired by love language. On January 15, 2025, the company shared the news of the launch on Instagram as it explained the inspiration behind the five flavors.

Released in collaboration with “The 5 Love Languages” on January 15, 2025, Van Leeuwen’s Valentine’s Day-themed ice creams are available exclusively at The Kroger Family of Stores.

The Instagram post read:

“We’ve cracked the code on love, and it looks a lot like ice cream,” the Instagram post was captioned.

For context, the five love languages or expressions of love that the brand has reimagined through the ice cream flavors are physical touch, affirmative words, getting gifts, quality time, and acts of service.

The first flavor that demonstrates physical touch is the Hug Me Hazelnut Truffle. This delicacy is a Hazelnut ice cream that comes with chocolate truffle pieces. The next flavor, implying words of affirmation, is You’re My Brown Sugar Cookie Butter, an exciting combination of Brown sugar ice cream and cookie butter swirl.

If you are someone who likes receiving gifts, you must try Van Leeuwen’s Chocolate Strawberry Surprise. This is a trio combination of sweet cream ice cream with some strawberry jam and chocolate chips.

The foundation of every relationship is not just time but quality time, and Van Leeuwen’s Let’s Hang Out S’more flavor can be your best companion. Prepared with sweet cream ice cream, chocolate chips, graham cracker pieces, and marshmallow swirls, this flavor ensures that you enjoy endless time with your partner.

Coming to the last flavor or Acts of Service, this ice cream choice is aptly supplemented by the Blackberry Chip In. It features a vibrant Blackberry sherbet with some chocolate chips.

Van Leeuwen has a special suggestion for those unsure of their actual love language. All they have to do is take a free quiz at 5lovelanguages.com.

This quiz goes back to when Dr. Gary Chapman introduced the concept of love languages in his 1990s book The 5 Love Languages. The categories were designed to help people better understand and navigate their relationships.

Over three decades later, the concept remains popular, with many individuals using Chapman’s online test to determine their primary love language out of five.

Van Leeuwen started as a New York ice cream truck in 2008 and now offers unique flavors like Honeycomb and Earl Grey alongside bold creations like Kraft Mac and Cheese ice cream. The Valentine’s flavors reportedly aim to continue their tradition of crowd-pleasing innovation.
