Hershey Company’s Twizzlers has been a fan-favorite throughout. The brand has been quite popular for its interesting shapes that comply with seasonal festivities, for example, Valentine's hearts, Christmas trees, Halloween ghosts, etc.
However, it might have good news for all the candy lovers as it has brought back the much-favorite Easter Bunnies. What is more interesting about these bunnies is their cherry flavor, which gives a unique touch to the classic licorice ropes.
According to Allrecipes, they are similar to Twizzlers Nibs in their chewy texture. However, they will be available for a limited time across stores nationwide starting January 2025.
It is mainly the bunny-shaped treats that bring a playful, festive vibe ideal for Easter. The company has relaunched the bunny-shaped candies in a smaller 2.1-ounce bag. So, whether you want a quick snack or to fill your Easter basket, the bunny candy can be a good option. Previously, they were sold in 7.1-ounce size bags.
The official website also lists the product, although it states only the 2.1-ounce bag is available. The Easter Bunnies are described as:
“A group of rabbits is called a fluffle, but bunnies that are cute, red and cherry flavored, we call them delicious! TWIZZLERS Easter Bunnies Cherry Flavored Candy is a wonderful treat to tuck into Easter baskets or for snacking between egg hunts.”
The candies contain wheat, so those with wheat allergies must be careful before consuming them. Here’s what reviewers have said about the Easter bunnies:
“Twizzler hearts and bunnies make it easier to enjoy your favorite twizzlers!! They taste amazing and are much softer to chew than the ropes! They should make them for every holiday!! I would buy them!!!”
“These are perfect for Easter. Super fresh and soft. They are small and perfect if you want just a little handful of sweetness. Cute packaging for Easter time. Will purchase more!”
Why should you try Twizzlers Easter Bunnies?
The popular candy name started functioning in 1927 and its legacy has been exceptionally rich. According to Allrecipes, Easter Bunnies isn't the only candy that will be available for the festival. The company will introduce the much-awaited Reese’s Peanut Butter Carrots and Kit Kat Bunnies, among others.
Besides the easter Bunnies, their bag has a striking design. There is a slanted red and blue side and a little grass with different colors on the bottom. Tami Dunn shared a review of the item on March 2, 2023, and she found the smell like a "lifesaver cherry." However, she mentioned that the bunnies don’t taste like cherries despite smelling like them. According to her:
“It does not taste like candy at all. It does not taste like anything. It doesn’t taste horrible but it doesn’t taste like candy. It’s not very sweet.”
Twizzlers also introduced the tree-shaped licorice candies with the same bold cherry flavor and chewy texture fans love. Similar to Twizzlers Bites or Nibs, the festive treats added a holiday twist to a classic favorite. They turned out to be a seasonal hit.
