Tobe Nwigwe recently announced his collaboration with popular sportswear brand, Reebok, to release the Preseason collection, and the announcement has left fans buzzing with excitement. The collaboration will see the release of a pair of sneakers, the Chukwu OTU sneakers, along with some garments as well, like football jerseys, coach jackets, and zip-off pants, to name a few.

Tobe Nwigwe has made his name in the music industry, and his interesting journey from an NFL star to a music giant has made heads turn over the years.

Speaking of the collaboration, the star mentioned,

"I chose the Preseason to be my first shoe because it’s an immaculate silhouette—simple, yet iconic. The Preseason represents hard work and excellence, and it felt like the perfect shoe to launch my own journey."

Tobe Nwigwe x Reebok Chukwu OTU sneaker: Everything we know so far

The Chukwu OTU is one of the most interesting products by Reebok, especially because of the mixed material play that can be seen all through the design of the sneakers.

The mixed material upper features textile, hairy suede, and nubuck leather to form a unique curved design, that helps to add a sense of depth and motion to the sneakers.

"Chukwu" is an Igbo term that means "God" and the word "OTU" means "one." The name is a tribute to Nwigwe's Nigerian American roots.

Speaking about the name, Tobe Nwigwe explained,

"The OTU reflects my dual identity—being African American, first-generation American, and deeply connected to my Nigerian heritage. It’s more than a name; it’s the blending of cultures and values that shape who I am."

The Tobe Nwigwe x Reebok Chukwu OTU sneaker drops on 21st February 2025, at 10 AM ET and will be available for purchase exclusively on the Reebok website as well as selected retailers. The sneakers will allegedly be priced at $200 USD, while the rest of the apparel items in the collection will be priced between $60 and $250.
