Stüssy and Dr. Martens have come together for yet another collaboration, and this time, the iconic duo is breathing new life into the 2295 boots by coming up with two new editions of the same. The new styles are set to launch in December itself, and you can actually grab them before the holiday season commences.
The 2295 boots are a favorite among Dr. Martens enthusiasts, as they represent a major chunk of the American blue-collar utilitarianism. The pair originally became popular way back and was a staple among workers in the workforce. The shoe was designed in a manner that made it comfortable for all day wear while also providing them with the right kind of grip that was required for blue-collar jobs.
While the shoe was discontinued a couple of years back, much to the workers' dismay, it is now all set for a comeback with a new twist. Dr. Martens is now collaborating with streetstyle brand Stüssy and reviving the 2295 boots. They are coming up with two new editions for the same.
The new design is a nod towards the original workwear design of the boots, featuring a steel toe cap and pull-on tabs, embossed with a unique Stüssy 'Workgear' patch. The outsole features Dr. Martens' signature yellow welt stitching, with uppers that come in black Wanama leather or textured suede.
The two colorways available for this reworked version of the shoe are black leather or a sandy suede. Both pairs will be available for purchase on the official websites and retail stores of Stüssy as well as Dr. Martens. The boots are set to launch on December 13, 2024, so you can grab them right ahead of the holiday season.
Stüssy and Dr. Martens have also collaborated multiple times in the past for many amazing pairs
Although this collaboration between Stüssy and Doc Martens is much anticipated, it is also worth noting that this isn't the first time this iconic duo has gotten together for a collaboration.
The duo first collaborated in 2016 to release the iconic Cheetah printed pair named 'Creeper'. This was followed by the release of the 8053 HY, subsequently giving rise to the hiking boots trend. Then we saw yet another collaboration in 2021, which was the release of a six-eye lace boot that was originally inspired by the 60s' DM work boots.
The duo has come together once again for another collaboration in 2024, where they will be reimagining the classic 2295 boots, and fans cannot wait to get their hands on the same.
