Sonic has collaborated with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie to launch two limited-edition drinks called The Nicole and The Paris on December 9. These drinks are part of their latest beverage collection – SONIC Iconic Drinks by Paris & Nicole.

The duo has already stirred up an internet storm with the news of their upcoming show, Paris & Nicole: The Encore premiering on Peacock on December 12. Announcing the news on their Instagram account, Sonic wrote:

“Our most iconic collab ever is here ✨✨✨ Try the Paris and Nicole drinks at SONIC today! Available for a limited time only.”

Speaking on the thought process behind choosing the actors, Sonic said in a press release,

“The stars are bringing their own personal touch to the Sonic beverage lineup with two new signature drinks and an instantly iconic ad campaign that pays homage to their history with the brand.”

Paris and Nicole starred together in the reality show, The Simple Life which aired between 2003-2007. The duo worked at a Sonic location in the show and shared some memorable moments together.


What is the flavour of the newly launched beverages?

Sonic Iconic Drinks by Paris & Nicole collection consists of two signature drinks launched by the drive-in fast-food chain. It features:

The Paris:

Described as ‘fruity and fun’, the drink is made with a blend of Sprite, dragonfruit syrup, lemon and lime, topped with whipped cream and Nerds Candy.

The Nicole:

Described as ‘sleek and berry sweet’, the drink is made with a blend of Dr Pepper, sweet cream, vanilla and real strawberries, topped with whipped topping and more real strawberries.

The drinks are available in only medium size, according to their Instagram post. They are priced at $3.99.


What was the reaction of fans?

Fans are excited to grab Sonic’s newly launched drinks from the Paris & Nicole collection. Sharing their views, they took to the comments section of Sonic Drive-in’s Instagram post.

“My idols + fave fast food 😍 I can’t wait to try them!!” A fan wrote.
“Dr. Pepper? Say less! On my way to get one!” Another said.
“I have been making the Nicole drink for like 10 years. I feel seen.” One person added.

According to Food and Wine, Paris Hilton shared that she and Nicole share a long history with Sonic. She said, “We have a long history with Sonic. It was actually our very first job, so it only made sense that it added two drinks to its menu that celebrate us.”

“We had a blast partnering with Sonic, bringing these drinks to life, and coming up with something that reflects our personalities. When we thought about what’s truly iconic, it was clear — it’s us, Paris and Nicole!” Nicole Richie added.

In an advertisement shared on Instagram, Paris and Nicole banter about some names for the drinks on Sonic Iconic Drinks by Paris & Nicole. They ultimately decide to name the drinks after themselves given their pop culture legacy. Their collaboration serves as a nostalgic reminder of their time on the show The Simple Life, which was loved by their fans.
