Travis Scott teased the release of the Air Jordan 1 x Travis Scott Velvet Brown and Dark Mocha by posting a commercial featuring himself and Dennis Rodman on Instagram on December 21, 2024.
The video is set in the fictional Chocolate Factory of the children’s classic, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. A rollercoaster car arrives there carrying a sneakerhead who had discovered the golden tickets under his newly purchased Air Jordan. Rodman tells the visitor:
"Hold on, we’ve been making the sickest shoes for years. You see that machine? Invented by Travis himself. One-of-a-kind. Before your shoes went through it, they were pure chocolate. I bet you’ve never seen a shoe this sweet.”
They encounter Travis Scott, who welcomes the touring guest to the factory. The FEIN rapper captioned the post with an invitation for fans and sneaker enthusiasts to purchase the sneakers. The Air Jordan silhouette is dressed in a chocolate hue and accented by the shoelaces in a lighter hue and black and bold reverse Swoosh logos on the sides.
The Nike Air branding on the tongue, in a black hue, complements the overall colorway. The leather and nubuck upper are occasionally disrupted by perforations on the toe box for breathability and comfort.
A peek inside the shoes brings you in contact with the Jumpman logo and TRAVIS SCOTT printed in black and white. At the back of the shoes, you’d also find a “cactus jack,” an Air Jordan logo, and a sad face. The sneakers come in a cream box with Nike branding in a chocolate hue.
The Air Jordan 1 x Travis Scott sneakers were sold upon release for 150 and are currently sold out on the Nike website. You can check out other reseller sites and the Cactus Jack website for available options.
