Ritz Bits has launched a new spicy flavor to its collection of flavors, and fans could not be more excited to try them. The popular household snack is known to be a cheesy delight or a peanut butter treat. However, with this new flavor, Ritz has tried to spice things up by bringing in a new spicy flavor in the mix.
The Spicy Queso flavor will be available in select stores soon. However, it is worth noting that the Spicy Queso flavor is available only in 3-ounce bags for now. The 8.8-ounce bags will be made available in February 2025.
Speaking about this new flavor, Steven Saenen, Ritz vice-president of marketing revealed,
"With Spicy Queso, we’re answering consumers’ demands for exciting, bold flavors and turning up the heat on the RITZ Bits you know and love. It’s a bold twist on your childhood favorite, with a kick in each mini bite."
Although the brand has not been very detailed in terms of how the Spicy Queso Ritz Bits are going to taste, a release did mention that the Spicy Queso bits are "a layered experience that combines rich, creamy cheese flavor with a bold, spicy kick."

The Spicy Queso flavor is all the more special among fans of the popular cheesy treat since it is the first new flavor to drop in almost a decade. So far, the most popular Ritz Bits flavors have been a cheesy flavor and a peanut butter treat. However, the new flavor will add a bit of spicy kick to the mix.

"Years ago (I'm talking about 25-30 years ago....I am OLD!!!! LOL) Ritz had a taco flavored Ritz Bitz. They were AMAZING and I never found out why they stopped making them! Hopefully, the spicy queso tastes similar to the taco flavored ones. They were my absolute favorite snack(in #2 place of my favorites were the Extra Cheese Pizza Combos! They no longer manufacture those either!). Why do they take away all of the good stuff?"
While many were excited about the Spicy Queso flavor, others are still waiting for the return of two of the most beloved flavors - s'mores and pizza treats. However, there has been no announcement for the return of these so far.
