Netflix is putting every ounce of its energy into promoting the upcoming season of Squid Game, and in its latest effort to do so, has announced a collaboration with PUMA to release Squid Game-themed sneakers. The streaming giant has also collaborated with Crocs to release Squid Game-themed footwear ahead of the season release on December 26.
However, coming back to the PUMA collaboration, there are a total of three sneakers that have been announced in this collaboration so far. While the Palermo had already been announced earlier, two new sneakers have been announced recently - the Easy Rider and the Suede.
While the Palermo was a more subtle collaboration, the latter two sneakers are brimming with Easter eggs about the show, including the famous Red Light Green Light giant, Young-hee, hanging as a charm from the sneakers.
Speaking about the collaboration, Josh Simon, Netflix’s Vice President of Consumer Products, said,
"Bringing Season 2 to life through new lifestyle products, in-person experiences and more has been just as exciting as watching Squid Game for the first time.
He continued,
Whether fans are zipping up a Puma tracksuit, snacking on some Gimbap or cueing for a chance to face-off against Young-hee in a game of Red Light Green Light, we want to give them the opportunity to step back into the game in ways that are just as exciting off-screen as they are on-screen."
The Squid Game x PUMA collaboration drops on December 12, so fans won't have to wait much longer to get their hands on any sneaker of their choice.
PUMA x Squid Game: Collaborative details, where to buy, and more explored
The PUMA x Squid Game collaboration has given rise to many exciting items that fans can look forward to on December 12, 2024. This includes a vast collection of tracksuits, hoodies, sneakers, and backpacks, all inspired by the Netflix show.
As previously mentioned, there are three pairs of sneakers that have been announced so far in the PUMA x Squid Game collection - the Palermo, which was previously announced, and the new pairs to join it are the Easy Rider and the Suede.
Squid Game x PUMA Easy Rider
The Easy Rider collab features a green and red upper, which is reminiscent of the tracksuits the contestants wore during the games. Moreover, the sneaker features a huge Young-hee charm on the side, making it a lovable addition for fans who want to show off their Squid Game sneakers. Squid Game x Puma Suede
For those fans who want more niche references to Squid Game on their sneakers, the PUMA Suede sneakers priced at $90 will be a total eye-catcher. Featuring a patchwork design with shades of blue and pink, the shoe is a nod towards the staircase scene in episode 5 of the show. The look is completed with a touch of white on the sole of the shoe.
These sneakers will be available for purchase starting December 12 and can be purchased on the official PUMA website and retail stores.
Aside from the sneakers, the PUMA x Squid Game collection also features several clothing items like tracksuits and hoodies in multiple color options that are Squid Game themed.

The Squid Game X PUMA tracksuit is available in two different colorways - classic green and white, and another variant which is charcoal and black. Fans can purchase the jacket and the track pants separately, or as a whole set, depending on their preferences. The track jacket is priced at $90 and the track pants at $80.
Squid Game hoodies
Like the tracksuits, the Squid Game hoodies are also available in classic green and red colors priced at $90. It is also available in a black variant and features an oversized fit.
