PUMA x One Piece collection pack is officially scheduled to drop on November 30, 2024. PUMA has joined forces with this anime franchise to bring a new collection featuring some anime characters.
All of the sneakers are priced at USD 85. They will be available for purchase on PUMA's website and other selected retail locations after the launch.
Below is what PUMA had to say about the collaboration:
"Gear up for adventure with PUMA x ONE PIECE. This collab blends PUMA’s classic street style with the island-hopping adventure of One Piece. Track jackets, tees, and hoodies are given the One Piece treatment with pirate flags and illustrations from the most-popular anime around the world."
It continues:
"Each sneaker’s design is inspired by one of the Four Emperors: Straw Hat Luffy, Red-Haired Shanks, Blackbeard, and Buggy the Star Clown. Choose your captain and get ready to head out on the open sea. Gear up for adventure with PUMA x ONE PIECE. This collab blends PUMA’s classic street style with One Piece’s island-hopping sense of adventure."
PUMA x One Piece: The Collaboration Explored
PUMA’s Suede sneaker line has been loved since its release in the 1960s. One Piece is a Japanese manga series. The series is written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It was first released in 1997 and has 110 tankōbon volumes so far.
The collaborative collection features the anime's four main characters whose stories and personalities are designed onto the four brand-new Suedes. Blackbeard is one of the main antagonists of the anime series.
The Suede Blackbeard Teech sneakers are based on this character. The colorway of the sneakers features PUMA Black and Dark Chocolate.
PUMA x ONE PIECE Suede Buggy sneakers feature Buggy the Star Clown character, who is the captain of Buggy Pirates.
The official description as listed by PUMA is as follows:
"These Suedes are all about Buggy. A hairy suede upper and crimped laces appear in vibrant, circus-inspired colors, rounded off with embossed PUMA x ONE PIECE cobranding."
The third Suede in the collection is the PUMA x ONE PIECE Suede Straw Hat Luffy. It features a Feather Gray and Platinum Gray colorway.
PUMA's official description of the shoes is:
"Ispired by Luffy’s all-white Gear 5 mode, this pair stands out with a mix of smooth and hairy suede, embossed lightning bolts, a cloud-shaped Formstrip, and authentic cobranding."
The next PUMA sneakers in the collection are Suede Red-Haired Shanks.
These sneakers feature a Team Regal Red/ PUMA Silver colorway.
