Pizza restaurant chain Papa Johns has re-released the much-favorite heart-shaped pizza for Valentine’s Day 2025. According to Allrecipes, the pizza will be available from February 10, 2025, and can be ordered only till February 16, 2025.

The heart-shaped pizza, priced at $11.99, features a thin crust and one topping of choice. To keep its shape intact, it is served uncut. On January 28, 2025, the restaurant chain shared a post of a heart-shaped pizza on its Instagram page, writing:

“will you accept this pepperosie?”

Fans couldn’t seem to contain their excitement about the relaunch. Here is how they reacted to the news:

“Wow. Next level. Yes I’ll be your valentine!” @plainslicemozzsticks wrote.
“Duh. Love the upgrade!” @becauseimobsessed commented.
“Heart pizzas on Valentines day are my hubby’s and I’s annual tradition!” @movinwithmandy remarked.
“BEST PIZZA EVER!!” @226_medina_226 pointed out.

This relaunch seems like an annual ritual as Papa Johns also reintroduced the heart-shaped pizza in 2024. YouTuber Barb Norton was surprised to know that this pizza existed in the first place. She shared a review video on February 14, 2024, on Valentine’s Day itself. After munching on a few mini slices, she said:

“It’s fun. I wouldn’t say it, I mean it’s got a little spice to it, a little kick to it for Papa Johns.”

She scored it seven out of ten as she was not a huge fan of thin-crust pizzas but said the heart-shaped pizza was a solid nine if one goes by its appearance.

The Papa Johns heart-shaped pizza usually comes with pepperoni toppings

In 2023, WCIA News got in touch with Mike York, area supervisor of the pizza company. York said the heart-shaped pizza is a Valentine’s Day special item and usually comes with pepperoni toppings.

However, one could request different toppings as per their choices. When asked how to cut a heart-shaped pizza, York said the best way would be however one liked, as the pizza is sold without being sliced.

Retired professional wrestler Ryback Allen Reeves also shared a review of Papa Johns’ heart-shaped thin-crust pizza in 2023. He ordered a vegetarian pizza of 12 inches with olives and mushrooms. Like Norton, even though he wasn’t a fan of thin-crust pizza, he seemed happy about the pineapple toppings. He said:

“I wonder this was someone’s first-time making the heart-shaped pizza and they didn’t know they were supposed to cut it, or if they just, it just doesn’t come cut. The question that I have. Because this pizza is not really, it’s easy to eat. I like Papa Johns pizza.”

Ryback tried it with the garlic butter sauce, which he felt was a game-changer.

In other news, Papa Johns is expected to re-enter the Indian market in 2025, a year later than originally planned, as many Western brands adjusted their strategies due to inflation affecting consumer spending.

The pizza chain left India in 2017, citing the underperformance of its restaurants. However, according to Reuters, the company now considers India a key market and plans to open new locations this year.
