The Off-White x Air Jordan 5 “Muslin” is arguably one of the most popular footwear designs of Virgil Abloh and marked the second Air Jordan silhouette to be reimagined by the designer.

The sneakers were released in February 2020 and pay homage to the Air Jordan 5 Black Metallic, the first pair of Air Jordans ever owned by Abloh.

The sneakers feature black textile mesh uppers with netted panels rendered translucent and circular window inserts sprinkled throughout the shoes—possibly an emphasis on the importance of Nike Air technology. Abloh also intended for sneakerheads to cut out the window inserts for themselves.

Abloh leaves his marks on the surface through a large Off-White branding on the inserts. The predominantly grey colorway is accented by the red Jumpman logo on the tongue and black detailing around the shoes.

Gum-colored units on the outsoles round up the impressive colorway. Nike Air branding is visible on the back of the shoes. The 3M reflective tongues and aged soles sum up the unique design.

The shoes also come with transparent Off-White paper, red laces with white text, sail laces with black text, and red lace locks. According to Footwear News, the silhouette which originally retailed for $225 upon release has been resold for up to $1,000 on StockX.

The reseller site is currently offering the sneakers for $298 with the last sale recorded at $799. You can check out the sneakers before they get sold out.
