Nike is reportedly set to expand its basketball sneaker lineup with the GT Cut 3 Turbo “Black Label” sneakers.

According to Sneaker Bar Detroit, the shoes are scheduled for release on February 14, 2025, as part of Nike’s Black Label collection. The pair is expected to be retailed at $210 on the official Nike website, the SNKRS app, and other select retailers.

This latest iteration reportedly refines the beloved GT Cut series, which is generally known for its focus on on-court performance. The GT Cut 3 Turbo builds upon the GT Cut 3. It comes with new enhancements with a relatively minimalist black-and-coconut-milk colorway.

The upcoming shoes are allegedly designed with ZoomX foam cushioning, a carbon fiber midsole plate, and reinforced lateral support for responsiveness. With Nike expanding its Greater Than (GT) series, the GT Cut 3 Turbo is expected to gain notable attention from basketball shoe enthusiasts worldwide.

As it is reportedly released during NBA All-Star Weekend 2025, sneaker fans are eager to see how it stacks up against some other models in the collection.

Reported design elements and features of the Nike GT Cut 3 Turbo “Black Label” sneakers

Colorway of the “Black Label” edition of the Nike GT Cut 3 Turbo is labeled Black/ Coconut Milk, Sneaker Bar Detroit reports. Some of its other speculated features include:

Upper

The GT Cut 3 Turbo “Black Label” sticks to a blacked-out design with coconut milk accents on the Nike Swoosh and midsole. The upper is allegedly made from synthetic materials, breathable mesh, and TPU panels.

Notable design elements include:

  • Molded synthetic overlays on the forefoot and heel.
  • Mesh and TPU panels on the midfoot for ventilation.
  • A streamlined texture.
  • A crown-like tongue design.

Cushioning and midsole technology

The GT Cut 3 Turbo “Black Label” sneakers reportedly feature Nike’s signature cushioning technology:

  • ZoomX foam insole and midsole for comfort.
  • A full-length carbon fiber plate is embedded in the midsole for stability.
  • Additional carbon fiber reinforcement near the pinky toe has been incorporated. This feature is expected to improve lateral stability during movements.

Outsole

The rubber outsole has featured a multi-directional traction pattern, which is anticipated to offer a good grip to the wearer. While not much has been revealed about the specific tread design, previously released GT Cut models had a herringbone pattern.

However, at $210, these GT Cut 3 Turbo “Black Label” sneakers sit on the higher end of basketball footwear pricing for the features. Casual players might find it too expensive compared to other basketball models available in the market. Additionally, the ZoomX foam tends to wear down faster than traditional foam setups.
