Nike is reportedly gearing up to release the Book 1 “Black Label” sneakers during NBA All-Star Weekend 2025.
According to Sneaker Bar Detroit, the shoe is scheduled to be launched on February 14, 2025, with a retail price point of around $170. Upon release, fans can expect the pair to be listed on the official Nike website, SNKRS app, and select retail locations.
The latest addition to the brand's exclusive Black Label collection is the reported Nike Book 1 “Black Label” sneakers, a special edition of Devin Booker’s first signature sneaker. Allegedly limited to just 1,996 pairs, this release gives a nod to Booker’s birth year. This detail is expected to make the pair a rare collector’s item.
The Nike Book 1 lineup was introduced in 2023. It is Booker’s debut sneaker with Nike Basketball. It merges elements of performance footwear with a lifestyle-friendly design.
Over time, the silhouette has been released in multiple colorways, including one inspired by the natural landscapes of Phoenix, where Booker plays for the Phoenix Suns. However, the "Black Label" edition takes a different approach with an all-black aesthetic.

Reported design elements and features of the Nike Book 1 “Black Label” sneakers
Unlike previous iterations of the Nike Book 1, which have experimented with different materials and color palettes, the Black Label edition takes on a black denim upper, Sneaker Bar Detroit reports. This fabric choice, combined with frayed edges, gives the sneaker a rugged appearance. It is a clear departure from the nubuck and canvas twill that were featured in earlier models.
One of the other alleged changes in this version is the absence of the book spine-inspired heel tab, which is considered a signature element of Book 1. This aligns with the relatively minimalist approach of the brand's Black Label collection, which has been applied to other Nike Basketball silhouettes, including Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and Ja Morant's models.
Other reported design elements include:
- A black rubber midsole and outsole that create a monochromatic look.
- A black Nike Swoosh with a metallic silver outline. It is expected to subtly break up the dark color scheme.
- A red Nike Swoosh has been allegedly sported on the outsole of the upcoming Book 1 “Black Label” sneakers. It is the only vibrant detail of the sneaker.
- Special “Black Label” branding has been featured on the insole, tongue, and hang tag.
- Booker’s signature is reportedly printed on the inner tongue, giving it a personal touch.
- The colorway of the Nike Book 1 “Black Label” is labeled Black/ Coconut Milk, reports suggest.
However, the denim material might not be the most practical choice for basketball performance, as it lacks the breathability of traditional mesh or leather uppers. However, for casual wear, the Nike Book 1 “Black Label” might prove a wearable look that fits multiple settings.
