Nike has been re-releasing a sea of classics over the last year, and the latest to join the crew will be the Nike Air Max Craze. Originally released back in 2000, the pair celebrates 25 years of its existence this year. Naturally, it was one of the primary choices for re-releases in 2025.
Although fans are potentially looking at a multi-colorway release, the retailer images that have dropped off this pair so far are in the colorway of "Bright Citrus," which is very much in keeping with the current trend of bold, chunky designs in bright colorways.
The Nike Air Max Craze is set to release in Spring 2025 and will be released as a women's shoe. The release date and price will be announced later and the shoes will be available for purchase at select retail outlets and the official Nike website.
Nike Air Max Craze 2025: First look and other details explored
Back when it was originally released in 2000, the Nike Air Max Craze was lauded as one of the most futuristic designs by the sneaker giant. With its unique toggle zip closure design and grid pattern upper design, the shoe featured some of the most unique design elements of its time.
Now, in its 2025 version, the sneaker giant has maintained many of the original design elements and has added a few elements for convenience. So far, there is news of the shoe being released in two different colorways - the original "Bright Citrus" colorway that features big, chunky design elements in a combination of black and bright orange. The second is a "White Gold" colorway which is a much more subtle design in terms of color - it features metallic shades on top of an overall white base.
The closure of the shoe forms one of the most interesting parts of it - while the revived version has maintained the original toggle zip enclosure, Nike has upgraded the design to make it look more sleek. Moreover, the detachable back strap enables you to be able to switch the shoe from a regular sneaker to a mule, which is also quite in trend these days.
Overall, the Nike Air Max Craze re-release has left fans quite excited and is a great addition to the collection of sneakerheads worldwide.
