Nike is set to release Air Force 1 "Halloween" to celebrate the upcoming holiday. The classic Air Force 1 sneakers was officially introduced by Nike in 1982 and took the world of sports footwear by storm with their unique design and sturdy hardwood-to-blacktop finish.
Similar to the Air Jordan collection, the Air Force 1 sneakers have also been specifically designed as basketball footwear, however, their usage highly depends on the wearer. They can also be extensively used as casual sneakers, mixing and matching them with different outfits.
The Swoosh label is set to release two Halloween-themed sneakers for the coming holiday including Dunk Low "Halloween" and Air Force 1 "Halloween" colorways. The shoes are set to be released on October 24, 2024, on the official SNKRS site and select retailers. The Air Force 1 "Halloween" sneakers will be retailing for a price of $140, while the Dunk iteration will retail for $130.
Note: This product has been confirmed by Nike to be released on October 24, 2024. The date is subject to change according to Nike’s release schedule.
Nike Air Force 1 "Halloween" sneakers are set to be released on 24th October 2024
The new Nike Air Force 1 release 'brings something spooky' to the sneaker game this season. It comes in a staggering Crimson and Black color combination. The upper of the shoe comes constructed out of cracker leather material. The cracks of the shoes give red accents to give a bloody-themed look. The official Nike site introduces the shoe as,
"Bring something spooky to your sneaker game this season. The classic '80s hoops icon gets a spine-chilling overhaul with a crackled leather finish and etched skull on the toe box, leaving this AF1 looking like it was unearthed straight from the crypt."
The highlight of the shoe includes a raised skull etched upon the toe box of the sneaker to add in spooky vibes to the sneaker in black. The sleek black color is continued upon the swooshes on the lateral side. The look of the shoe is finished off with the black rubber outsole.
The insoles of the shoes continue with the spooky aesthetic with the crimson red and black prints. The evolution of the Air Force 1 sneakers over four decades, has been stated by the website as:
Debuting in 1982 as a basketball must-have, the Air Force 1 came into its own in the '90s. The clean look of the classic white-on-white AF1 was endorsed from the basketball courts to the block and beyond.”
Further stated:
"Finding its rhythm in hip-hop culture, releasing limited collabs and colorways, Air Force 1 has become an iconic sneaker around the globe. And with over 2000 iterations of this staple, its impact on fashion, music, and sneaker culture can’t be denied.”
