McDonald’s has become a favorite among foodies due to its holiday offerings this year. From the latest McValue platform to new Happy Meal toys, the restaurant chain has ensured that we get the most out of this holiday season. However, reports say the cherry on the top is the McFlurry launched in September 2024.
McDonald's has improvised the McFlurry by creating a limited edition with everyone’s favorite holiday character 'Grinch.' The menu will now include a Frozen Hot Chocolate McFlurry. It combines the food joint’s classic vanilla soft serve with rich hot cocoa powder, creating a cozy hot cocoa-inspired flavor.
To improvise further, mini marshmallows are mixed in for a delightfully chewy texture, and a nostalgic touch. This food item has the essence of a warm cup of cocoa, reimagined as a frosty treat. Adding to the charm, the McFlurry is served in a festive Grinch-themed cup that will cheer everyone up.
However, the Grinch-themed hot chocolate McFlurry will only be available across participating McDonald’s restaurants in Canada. The news went viral after Snackolator shared an Instagram post recently. JustFoodReviews posted a video on YouTube reviewing the hot chocolate McFlurry. In the video, the host said,
“I did taste one of the marshmallows. It’s like a lucky charms or cereal that has marshmallows in it. They are kind of crunchy, kind of marshmallows. They don’t really taste like marshmallows. That’s what’s in here. It tastes like vanilla ice cream with a little bit of chocolate in it with those crunchy marshmallows.”
McDonald’s has also introduced a new Grinch Menu in Canada
McDonald’s has also launched a special-edition Grinch-themed meals in Canada, with a Happy Meal for kids featuring toys and books in a gift-wrapped box and an adult meal offering Big Mac, McChicken, or Chicken McNuggets with Dill Pickle fries.
The adult meals also include festive Grinch or Max holiday socks. Chocolate McFlurry is part of this holiday lineup, but these items are exclusive to Canada. Fans are unhappy with McDonald’s decision to limit these items to Canada. Some of the user reactions to the Instagram post are:

JustFoodReviews posted a review of the Grinch menu on YouTube in which they stated that the Big Mac's bun had a good taste and the McShaker Dill Pickle fries tasted almost like a creamy version of Dill Pickle chips.
