Billion-dollar franchise McDonald's is set to bring back its Boo Buckets this spooky season, which will be available from October 25, 2024. These plastic pails are designed to double as Happy Meal containers and trick-or-treat buckets and are only available till stocks last. This seasonal favorite debuted in 1986 and has made irregular returns since then.
This year, the buckets come in an assortment of colors, including blue to replace last year's purple. The bucket also comes with stickers so kids can design it to their liking. This marks the third consecutive year for the Boo Buckets' return, and prior to that, it was on the market in 2016.
Here's all you need to know before buying a Boo Bucket
According to McDonald's, Boo Buckets pricing is subject to vary, depending on the restaurant and location. However, there is no additional cost for the pails, as they are simply meant to replace the usual Happy Meal box and toy. This means that the price of the bucket is included at checkout.
This year's assortment of Boo Buckets comes in orange, green, white, and blue, with each featuring a cute, fuzzy monster on the front. The orange and blue monsters even come with horns, all with adorable fangs. The ones from last year were made to look like Monsters, Skeletons, Mummies, and Vampires.
Notably, the method of ordering remains the same: through the app or in the restaurant. There are three different entrée options: hamburger, four-piece, or six-piece Chicken McNuggets meals. Each comes with a side of fries or apple slices and a drink of choice.
