Leica unveils its M11 100 years anniversary collection: All you need to know

Popular camera brand LEICA recently unveiled the Leica M11, which is a special release that marks 100 years since the release of the brand's first camera, the M1. The brand will be celebrating its 100th anniversary, and part of the celebration includes lighting up the Burj Khalifa to honor its presence.

Alongside these, the brand is also releasing a range of collectibles, including teddy bears. However, the most coveted collectible that will be released to celebrate 100 years of Leica is the M11, the brand's latest camera.

The camera's design has grabbed the attention of fans, who are in love with the sleek, glossy exterior of the camera. Moreover, the silver accents add a certain amount of class to this model. The shutter release, on/off switch, and the ISO and speed dials are also decorated with elaborate cross knurling.

Furthermore, the Leica M11 also does not feature the iconic red logo of Leica that is present in every other camera in the collection. This makes it stand out a lot more.

To make the camera rarer, Leica has released six different country-specific variations of the camera, and each variation will only see 100 units in production.

The six different country exclusive editions in question are the following: 'New York USA', 'Dubai UAE', 'Tokyo Japan', 'Milan Italy', 'Wetzler Germany', and 'Shanghai China'.

Leica's official Instagram page also features a beautiful, picturesque shot taken using the M11. The picture has left fans amazed with the quality of the yet-to-be-released model.

The Leica M11 maintains the precision and craftsmanship that is the brand's signature. However, it stands out with its sleek design variations and engraving options that previous models have missed. This makes the collectible item all the more attractive to photographers worldwide.

The Leica M11 'New York USA' and other country editions will be released throughout the year at Leica Stores and Leica Online Store. While some items from the range of collectibles are already available, others will be launched through February and May 2025.
