Federal offices will be closed and the employees will have paid leave on New Year's Day 2025 according to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.

The Postal Services will remain closed on December 31, 2024. The regular mail and packages will not be delivered on this particular day.

USPS priority mail, however, will be the only running service.

FedEx and UPS will be operational but not like usual, it will be operating at a much lower capacity with minimal working employees. Only the critical services will be available and the usual pick-ups and drops will be avoided throughout the day.
