IKEA is back with the sixth edition of its much-adored Nytillverkad collection, which brings back old classics that have seen popularity among fans of the popular furniture brand. This edition features a number of interesting shapes and bold colors in its designs, which has left fans quite excited to get their hands on the same.

The sixth edition of the Nytillverkad collection reimagines big chunky statement chairs from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, interesting textiles and playful vases. The most interesting addition to this collection, however, comes straight from the IKEA archives and is a customizable shelf, where you can adjust the shelves according to your convenience.

Karin Gustavsson, creative leader of the Nytillverkad collection, shared the vision behind this collection.

"Simply adding one piece from this collection will make a statement, with items that can also change form and colour to fit each individual home. We have pulled inspiration from four decades, reimagining the pieces to feel fresh and new. You will find a palette of bold colours, as well as softer, curvier accent pieces and playful prints to make every day that little bit more joyful."

According to Gustavsson, there is a piece for everybody in this collection and with a nice blend of subtle and playful pieces in the mix, everybody can pick something for their home from the upcoming edition of the Nytillverkad collection.

The sixth edition of the Nytillverkad collection by IKEA sees the return of many classics. The collection features a bunch of homeware pieces, including statement chairs, shelves, vases, and much more. Here are some of the pieces that people are looking forward to the most.

The Dyvlinge Swivel chair was originally known as the Mila chair, and was renowned to be the most comfortable "anti-stress armchair." It has now made a comeback as the Dyvlinge swivel chair in the Nytillverkad collection.

Guide Shelf

The Guide Shelf by Niels Gammelgaard was a classic hit even back in the 80s when it was originally launched, and fans are most excited about the return of this piece. Featuring a subtle yet playful inclusion of colors, the now-renamed Byakorre shelving unit is unique in that you can adjust the height of the shelves according to your requirements.

Speaking about this piece, Gammelgaard says,

"If the next generation and their children after them find the design fantastic, then you have succeeded as designer."

Guttane Coffee Table

The Guttane coffee table is an understated elegant piece that truly shows how subtlety can elevate the look of certain objects. While it originally started as a bench, the transition into a coffee table was almost seamless.

The design shows both elegance and functionality, as the curved edges prevent any stray magazines, mugs, or vases from falling over.

The Nytillverkad collection is set to release in February 2025, although no date has been specified so far.
