Fast-food chain McDonald’s has decided to please its fans by introducing the Grinch Happy Meals launched on November 20, 2024. It will be available across United Kingdom (U.K.) locations till December 31, 2024. MCD shared a YouTube about this announcement in which the narration said,
“The Grinch is now in Happy Meal. Look Mr. Grinch, how festive you are! You truly are a shining star. Now let the festive season begin. Some fun, some food is all inside this Happy meal.”
The Grinch Happy Meal would include one pre-selected toy or book but might be available at different times. The gifts include Max plushies and three different card games. Social media users could not contain their excitement with the announcement of the McDonald’s Grinch Happy Meals. A person commented on Instagram,
“I will cry if they don’t bring this to the US.”
Netizens complained about the Grinch Happy Meal not being released in the U.S. Others complimented the plush toy.
“The US never gets anything it’s always the UK that gets everything good!!”
“That’s a really nice lil plush. This is exciting for the kiddos! Hopefully it will come to the US too!”

Online users wrote they would order two of these, one for themselves and one for their kids. However, some Instagram users still wish to see the Grinch Happy Meal in the U.S.

As mentioned, the Grinch Happy Meal would include one of eight Grinch-themed toys, such as plush Christmas decorations, Grinch family card games, or the exclusive Twelve Days of Grinchmas story.
A press release on the official website mentioned that the Grinch will also make appearances at McDonald’s locations across the country, spreading holiday cheer and surprising families with his newfound festive spirit.
McDonald's has also launched its ‘Gift Drop’ campaign where it will offer free food and merchandise till Christmas. From November 20 to December 19, 2024, MCD distributed 'gift tags' across the UK, giving people daily opportunities to redeem offers and win prizes.
In a treasure hunt-style event, codes were hidden in various locations, some in plain sight on the food outlets’ billboards or inside their restaurants, while others were more challenging to find online or in real-life settings.

According to Mirror, participants who found a tag could enter the code in the official MCD app to win free food, MyMcDonald’s rewards points, or festive merchandise such as Christmas jumpers, pajamas, and baubles.
Additionally, entering the code would unlock two food offers, a main offer valid until 11:59 PM on the same day and a breakfast offer available until 10:59 AM the following day.
