Food giant Taco Bellā€™s New Yearā€™s Eve celebration in Tucsonā€™s Downtown seemingly had one of the most attractive parties for 2025. The Snoop Dog Arizona Bull hosted the party. The most attractive event during the party was the Taco Drop which visitors called ā€˜uniqueā€™ saying it was not done anywhere else.

Videos of the Taco Drop have circulated across social media platforms. Food vlogger Snackolator shared a video on their Instagram page and captioned it:

ā€œWhat is the closest hotel to where Iā€™m clearly going to be next year.ā€
ā€œTucson local here! I went last night for the first time and itā€™s so fun! Definitely worth the trip.ā€

Instagram users complimented Taco Bellā€™s genius marketing idea while another netizen wrote the event invoked patriotic feelings.

ā€œOk whatever marketing person came up w that idea is a genius.ā€
ā€œThis makes me feel patriotic.ā€
ā€œBut they donā€™t play the bell when it lands?! Missed opportunity there.ā€

According to KGUN9, the Taco Drop began in 2014 and since then, people from across the country have visited the place to get a glimpse of the annual custom. The Taco touchdown event begins with the Taco going up in the air with the help of a crane and coming down at midnight.

The Taco Bell event became a viral sensation on platforms like TikTok

According to Ben Chulick, VP of Marketing for Arizona Bowl, visitors come from Florida only because they saw the Taco touchdown event on TikTok. A visitor from New Orleans Bryant Battiste said:

ā€œI just came out here man cause I love the culture. I love the Hispanic food. I love the Mexican food and itā€™s just a great place to be, a great place to visit.ā€

Chulick also mentioned that the party attendees did not have to pay anything to get entry and there was no age restriction. He said it was their effort to give back to the community and celebrate their accomplishments. The party also had a fireworks show.

Another eye-catching event from the night was the silent disco, which was reportedly held for the third time. Everyone wears wireless headphones and grooves to the same music in a silent disco. The headphones had three colors that flashed red, green, and blue colors signifying three DJs.

Many food trucks were available for people to buy anything they liked to eat. There was also a Gin and Juice Garden along with beer stations.

Similar touchdown events also occurred at locations like the Pineapple Drop in Sarasota. Plant City also had its first-ever Strawberry touchdown. In Mount Olive, people enjoyed the annual pickle drop.
