Fast-food chains are rolling out a series of exclusive discounts for their customers in this “Season of Giving”. And Wendy’s has also joined them to spread love and kindness among the fans.
The restaurant’s most-loved Frosty Key Tags will soon be returning to the stores and online on December 9. You can purchase these tags for just $3 and grab a free Jr. Frosty with every purchase in 2025. They will be available through February 16, 2025.
The free Frosty deal will start as soon as the customers have the tag, so if you are lucky enough to snag the tag as soon as December 9, you can start collecting your freebie which is redeemable through December 31, 2025.
The sweet offerings by Wendy’s are for a great cause as the money earned will be donated to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, a non-profit organisation that caters to foster kids by providing them with a safe environment.
Over the past three decades, Wendy’s has raised more than $340 million for the NGO and continues to do so.
How can you purchase your Frosty Key Tags?
There are two different kinds of Frosty Key tags at Wendy’s available for the customers. A physical Frosty Key Tag and a digital Frosty Key Tag.
A physical Frosty Key Tag, which goes on your keychain, can be brought while placing an order from any of the participating Wendy’s locations. It can also be ordered with any order through the app or website and it will be added to your meal. Drive-thru and kiosks are alternative options.
According to the Wendy’s website, if a location has chosen to participate, you will see the physical and digital tags available under the category, “Give Something Back.”
A digital Frosty Key Tag can only be acquired through the Wendy’s app or website. You will receive the tag in your MyWendy’s account. It can be linked to your rewards card which can be scanned in-store.
Note: Frosty Key Tags are not available to purchase through third-party apps.
What’s even better is that you can purchase them in bulk during the promotional period from the Wendy’s store or app. Alternatively, they can also be brought through the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
You can even gift them to your loved ones this Christmas season be it your favourite teacher, friend or a family member. Or can use it to treat yourself to a delicious Wendy’s treat.
Can you snag a free Frosty off-season?
Yes, you can snag a free Jr. Frosty by buying a book coupon! Every year, in September and October, Wendy’s offers their $1 Frosty Boo! Books. You can grab your free coupon after purchasing a Boo! Book, as per the Wendy’s website.

Speaking of other deals at Wendy’s, customers can score a Spicy Chicken Sandwich for $4 every day by placing their order through the app or website till Dec 29. It also introduced a Salted Caramel Frosty which recently replaced the vanilla Frosty upon its arrival.
