Global pizza chain Domino’s has come to the rescue of Squid Game lovers. On December 3, 2024, the restaurant announced that it had collaborated with Netflix to celebrate the second season of the thriller series.
As a result of this collaboration, players at the tourist attraction spot Squid Game: The Experience will get a chance to win free pizzas for a year.
The second season of the series will be released on December 26, 2024, but this deal will be available on December 12, 2024, at the tourist spot at Manhattan Mall in New York City. The player with the lowest score from the competing groups will get this deal.
As uncanny as it might sound, players will have to score less to get free pizzas for a year. Kate Trumball, Domino’s Vice President, mentioned in the press release,
“Those who watch Netflix's Squid Game know that losing is the ultimate emergency, but Domino's is here to turn that around. We're making lemonade out of lemons for players by solving their heart-pounding predicament with free pizza for a year, so they can have Domino's whenever their next emergency happens.”
Trumbull expressed excitement about collaborating with Netflix on a creative and unexpected brand integration. The Squid Game activation expands Emergency Pizza’s reach, delivering it to more locations and audiences.
This marks the pizza joint’s second collaboration with the streaming media company, following their 2022 launch of a unique mind-ordering app ahead of Stranger Things season four.
Squid Game: The Experience is an immersive event where participants face five challenges inspired by the Netflix series, followed by relaxation and dining at a Korean-themed Night Market.

According to the press release, a Pink Guard member will give the player with the lowest score in each group an award of $500 in gift cards.
This partnership with Netflix goes beyond free pizza distribution. The pizza joint has TV spots inspired by the series, showcasing how Emergency Pizza deliveries have rescued players from some of the stressful situations from the first season of the show. As per Magno Herran from Netflix,
“We took the most iconic games from the series and reimagined what would happen if the players had Emergency Pizza to save them.”
He continued,
“The custom spots will also run on Netflix's ad-supported plan, so our members can see them as they watch the show, and we're excited to extend the campaign across the Squid Game universe at The Experience in New York City, where fans can enjoy Emergency Pizza, just like the players.”
The collaboration between the pizza hub and the series is the latest partnership event featuring Emergency Pizza. In October 2024, the brand entered the gaming world by integrating Emergency Pizza into The Glitch, a new Fortnite game created with Amazon and Twitch.
Another collaboration of Domino's includes the one with Olive & June to launch the Emergency Pizza Mani Kit and Instant Mani Press-On Nails.
