Restaurant company, Chipotle Mexican Grill, has announced a collaboration with physical exercise tracking company, Strava, on January 2, 2025. As a result of this partnership, consumers can get free lifestyle bowls throughout 2025.
The free lifestyle bowls offer is the fitness tracking company’s first international segment. Strava has over 135 million users across 190 countries. Winners will receive free bowls and other offers in their cities.
In collaboration with Strava, the fast-food chain has introduced 25 Chipotle segments. These segments are roads and trails where athletes can engage in friendly competition by aiming for top leaderboard times.
From now until January 31, 2025, participants can vie for Local Legend Status (LCL), a title awarded to the individual who completes a segment the most times. Winners in each city will receive a year’s worth of free Lifestyle Bowls. The food chain’s Chief Brand Officer, Chris Brandt, said in a statement:
“Last year, we learned about the literal great lengths that our fans will go to for free Chipotle. Participants logged more than 9.25 million miles on 'Chipotle segments,' the equivalent of circling the planet more than 370 times.”
He continued:
“After seeing the passion our fans had for the initial launch with Strava, we had to increase access to the competition and raise the stakes.”
Moreover, segments on the app from the restaurant chain will be spread across 25 cities, including international places. The new locations will include cities in North America and Europe, like London, Toronto, New York City, Paris, and others. According to the press release, the cities participating in the challenge are the ones with the restaurant chain's highest consumers.

The contents of each bowl can be checked on the restaurant’s official website. Another highlight is the city-wide challenge in which cities with a Chipotle segment compete to log the most miles.
