Fortnite has made headlines with the announcement of OG Season 2 for Chapter 1. This highly anticipated update is set to launch on January 31, 2025, at 9 AM ET.
The update will introduce new features, such as the return of fan-favorite locations, updated versions of beloved skins, and more. The title is acclaimed for its gameplay, creative collaborations, and more.
Epic Games officially announced that Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 2 will roll out on January 31, 2025. This follows the success of the OG mode, introduced in December 2024. OG mode allows the players to revisit Fortnite’s early days, rekindling memories of the game’s beginnings while letting newcomers explore classic elements for the first time.
Fortnite OG Season 2 Chapter 1: Map changes and return of Tilted Towers
One of the most notable points of the OG Season 2 is the return of Tilted Towers, one of Fortnite’s beloved Points of Interest (POIs). This location features towering structures, excellent loot, and battles. It is expected that Tilted Towers will once again become the hotspot for players looking to claim victory.
In addition to Tilted Towers, other beloved POIs are also making a comeback, including:
- Shifty Shafts: A labyrinth of tunnels for close-quarters combat.
- Junk Junction: A scrapyard with loot and hiding spots.
- Snobby Shores: A row of houses for landing early.
- Haunted Hills: A graveyard that exudes an eerie vibe.
These POIs will bring back memories for old players.
Things to know about the new Battle Pass
The new Battle Pass for OG Season 2 does not bring back the original skins from Chapter 1, Season 2. However, it comes with remixed versions of some of the beloved characters, which include:
- Black Knight Remix: A fresh take on the fan-loved skin that has long been a symbol of Fortnite mastery.
- Sparkle Specialist Remix: A reimagining of this classic favorite.
- Cuddle Team Leader Remix: A playful twist on the fan-favorite character.
These skins retain some specs of their originals and feature noticeable design updates. The Battle Pass will likely come with a lower XP requirement, similar to OG Season 1. It will allow players to unlock rewards more efficiently. For those who have subscribed to the Fortnite Crew Pack, the Battle Pass will be included in their subscription.
Unlike usual Fortnite seasons, the OG seasons have a shorter runtime. This means players will need to act quickly to complete challenges and unlock rewards.
If you are still going through the OG Chapter 1 Season 1 Battle Pass, you have until January 31, 2025, to finish it. Items from the previous pass are expected to appear in the Item Shop later. However, they will likely cost more V-Bucks.
