Dunkin Donuts will be rolling out some new offerings just in time for the spooky season, as announced by the chain on Tuesday, October 1. The new, limited-edition lineup includes a new beverage, some new snacks, and a purple Halloween Munchkins bucket. These will be available across all stores starting October 16.
The Halloween Munchkins Bucket is a pail adorned with some cute monsters featured on the front, along with an assortment of treats on the inside. Other new attractions this season include the new Potion Macchiato and the Spider Specialty Donut.
Here's all you need to know about Dunkin Donuts' Halloween Munchkins Bucket
Apart from the child-appropriate motif of some pumpkins and ghosts on the front, the pail contains an assortment of about 50 Munchkins Donut Hole Treats, and this spooky season, kids can enjoy the all-new Halloween sprinkle-covered Munchkins dipped in chocolate and orange sprinkles.
Furthermore, the pail doubles as a trick-or-treat bucket for kids to collect candy in, and these purple buckets can also be purchased separately for $2. Speaking about the upcoming Halloween treats, Beth Turenne, vice president of category management at Dunkin Donuts, said in a press release:
"At Dunkin’, we love keeping guests fueled through every season, and Halloween is no exception. With beloved treats like our Spider Donut and new menu items like the Potion Macchiato, we’re excited to give customers a delicious way to celebrate the spooky season. Whether it’s picking up a MUNCHKINS Bucket for trick-or-treating or sharing festive donuts with friends and family, we’ve got everything needed to make Halloween a little sweeter."
What else does Dunkin Donuts have in store this fall?
Per a company news release, the coffee and donuts chain is also dropping a Potion Macchiato, which comes hot or iced. It blends espresso and milk, and the star of the show is the purple marshmallow ube flavor that gives this drink its atypical colorway.
Then there's the Spider Specialty Donut, which is "getting a makeover for the spooky season," the website states. This year, the once orange-frosted donut turns purple, as the Glazed Chocolate MUNCHKINS Donut Hole Treat sits in the middle. The kicker? It's got the chocolate and white drizzle to form the legs and eyes.
Furthermore, the classic Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry Frosted Donuts are getting their own makeover this fall, with a "festive blend" of chocolate and orange sprinkles to mark the occasion.
The large, inflatable Spider Donut lawn decorations are also making an appearance this autumn. Akin to the seasonal donut, this six-foot-tall donut retails for about $55. Fans can head to Dunkin Donuts' website to make a purchase come October 1, as it will be available while stocks last.
